Morbius

Is this an actual character drama that just happens to have vampires like Near Dark was, or just more capeshit but with a third string villain?

Stopped halfway through, maybe I'll try another time but its just so bland.

The special effects are decent enough but all the characters are just so unlikable, I rooted for no one, I cared for no one.

Just capeshit about a boring villain, now anti-hero. It has the most retarded post-credits scene in all of these superhero movies, and this moive bombed so bad it made hollywood executives can a lot of vampire movies as though that was the problem.

It's funny to me how the writers for this movie clearly did not know how vampire bats work aside from "oh they suck blood" and they framed them like fucking starved sky rat piranhas that will SWARM anything that bleeds and apperently don't need to rest anywhere because they're just flying in circles in that blue tube in the lab all the time with no perches or anything. Nowhere near the worst, kinda funny levels of bad in some areas, alright watch overall especially if you're doing it with friends cracking jokes at the weirder logic type shit the whole time. I do like how they tried doing like a thing where his friend, Matt Smith, willingly turns into the thing he fears he could become because he legit does not fucking care about the fact other people need blood and he's lierally on borrowed time with the defective artificial blood serum in his body. He's just like "YOOO NO MORE ANEMIA MAN I CAN FUCKING WALK AND HAVE SUPERPOWERS TOO LMAO FUCK YOU MORBIUS WHY THE HELL DO YOU THINK THIS IS A CURSE?" That was pretty neat just seeing him harass and torment morbius in a menacing goofball kinda way.

Wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it was gonna be. Certainly a lot better then Venom: Let There Be Carnage. Has some entertainment value, don't think we can expect more from the Sony MCU.

Wow I actually liked Venom, I thought it was fun and the symbiote was kind of adorable in a weird way.

I hated Morbius, it was just so bland. I wanted it to be good because I think the Sony MCU so far have had much cooler characters to work with. :(

Morbius feels like it is missing big parts of the story yet also feels too long, The movie is really bland and would have befitted with Jared Leto bring some of that over the top energy House of Gucci rather than trying to do this dull dramatic performance which just doesn't fit, but not just him who approaches it from this point rather than the more theatrical one it needed.

On a good note Matt Smith is fun in the movie and only one that fully understands what the movie needed to be, a fun campy over the top horror action movie.

4/10. more dull than outright awful as many of the reviews stated however would have been more preferable if it was that train wreck. In terms of filming making it's fine, effects honestly felt better than most MCU movies, wasn't badly shot or anything.

Looking at the writers past work you get Power Rangers 2017, The Last Witch Hunter and Gods of Egypt which really explains the issues with the movie. they are also listed as the writers as Madame Web, so that movie should be a dull as fuck as well

Can someone give me the timestamp that Morbius says "It's Morbin Time"
That was when Morbius went into the quick stop, yanked a can of Pringles off the shelf and started humping it, at 14:47 minutes in. At 15:58, Dante Hicks helps him free his weiner from the can as Randall Graves laughs and takes pictures. At 16:53, the boss comes on and slips and falls because Morbius morbed all over the floor.

Venom got a sequel? That movie fucking sucked more than capeshit usually does.
Was even directed by Andy Serkis. It was even worse then the first movie, leaning more on the "comedy" between Venom and Eddie which was the most awful part of the first one. I don't understand how you can actually have the villain character Carnage in your movie and not a single drop of blood is shown. There is no gore. Mind you, this is a character that in the comics walked into a diner and slaughtered everyone inside to the point where gore and viscera is dropping from the ceiling. How this wasn't given the Logan treatment and make it R-rated is beyond me. Venom/Carnage, PG-13. Fuck off with that bullshit.

At the end of the day, I'm a "to each their own" kinda guy, and I respect other people enjoying/disliking what they want. I absolutely hated the Venom movies, didn't mind the Morbius movie. Guess my mood was tuned for some mindless CGIfest.

This tells me if they ever make another Blade, it's going to be a half assed shitfest.
