Ules is a head by an incredible margin, take that in mind when you make a character
Name: Yngmar gra-Uruk
Race: Orc (female)
Class: Spellsword
Altered skills: Axe (+5), Destruction (+5), Restoration (+5)
Starting Gear: Iron Broadsword, Imperial Chain Greaves
Yngmar refuses to speak of her past, or any more than necessary, for that matter. Records show that she was trained by Bretons some time before various mercenary contracts and odd jobs lead her to Vvardenfell. She has often taken marks to hunt "those Nine-damned mages"; pointing out her own magical training in response is swiftly met with violence.
this is actually perfect. Better than what I have wrote.

I will start the playthrough proper on friday

Name: Mist
Race: Khajiit (male)
Class: Nightblade
Altered Skills: Marksmanship (+10) Speech (+5)
Starting Gear: Either the Bound Longbow spell, if it's feasible (a lot of the places I find listing 'costs' seem to be magicka costs) or a Shortbow of Sanguine Shortflight and 7 Iron Arrows. Or a longbow and a steel dagger.
Basically just give me a good bow, maybe a good dagger, and enough arrows to get by for now.
An insufferably smug 'covert operator' by trade, with a penchant for rules-lawyering to take a little extra off the top. He's reliable to the contract, and won't betray one already signed... at least, not betray it by the letter. If you leave a loophole he can exploit and don't tie your belongings down, it's your own fault, innit? He'll be a reliable ally to you as long as you are a reliable benefactor to him... and not one second more.

The Merific Band
Morrowind 1 fellowship.png

On the humid morning of the 16th of last seed a ship landed in Seyda Neen four figures shuffle out and meet the imperial at the gate

Imperial soldier head.png
“we have word of four from Summerset, what purpose is there for this visit”
Schizo head.png
“we are scholars here to investigate the disappearance of the Dwarves”
Imperial soldier head.png
“Thick as fleas as of late, alright let's start with you high elf”

“well that's that, move along now we got you on the books”

Seyda neen pretty jpeg.png

In the waning years of the third era of Tamriel, four agents pledged to the Aldmeri banner immigrated to the island of Vvardenfell ignorant of the role they were to play in its future.
The gang walks through the gate, Nulvia spots a silver ring with a green emerald embedded in it left on a barrel.
Nulvia Head.png
“what a beautiful thing”
Mist head.png
“it draws Khajiits eye, like a star over the cold sands, late in the night”
Nulvia reflexively shoves it in her breast pocket. It would not be the first piece of jewelry to disappear around that cat she thinks to herself. Letting out a sigh her eyes roll away from her companions, and over to a bosmer leaning against the wall. The stout man then spits what appears to be blood from his mouth.
Morrowind 2 Fargoth the mistreated.png

Nulvia Head.png
“hey brother are you hurt?”
Fargoth head.png
“oh fair dark elf, friet not, this is just how the imperials spread their civilization”
Ymgar head.png
“your bleeding, you must have paid a debt in blood”
Fargoth head.png
“you can say that, Hrisskar Flat-Foot a thug of the imperial legion has been shaking us elves down for seasons”
Schizo head.png
“nords, what disgusting creatures”
Fargoth head.png
“The coins I do not mind so much, but my family ring was taken”
Ymgar head.png
“you let them take it”
Fargoth head.png
“I tried to fight him, it is just that him and his friends are so experienced in picking on us little guys I could hardly get a swing in”
Ymgar head.png
“excuses get you nowhere bosmer”
Fargoth looks away disgusted by his weakness. Yngmar and Merionolemar walk away discussing what their first move should be. Nulvia pulls out the ring, Fargoth lights up instantly.
Fargoth head.png
“you have it, where did you get it, I don’t care, thank you dearly”
Nulvia Head.png
“your story moved me, hide it. Better to act discreetly lest they find it in your possession again”
Morrowind 3 Return of the ring.png

Fargoth marches off with a smile on his face and a new lease on life
Mist head.png
“why waste the wealth on the forest dweller”
Nulvia Head.png
“I get a heavy knot in my stomach whenever I hear about men abusing elves just because they can”
Nulvia and Mist then hurry along to catch up.
Morrowind 4 Wheat farmer whore.png

Along the way Nulvia bumps into another dunmer girl around her age, she was in a clean shirt and skirt, her shoes were well kept, and very noticeable on her cleavage was a red dragon tattoo. The Queen of Colovia mark, a tattoo indicating that you only engaged in relationships with imperial men, and would work to destroy the men your own race, I would enjoy killing her she thought before scurrying along.
Morrowind 5 Trade Shop mischief.png

In the towns trader, the four friends bought lunch
Nulvia Head.png
“so I would like four of the island special, kwama egg”
Arrille head.png
“new arrivals it seems”
Nulvia Head.png
“yes, are we that obvious”
Behind her
Ymgar head.png
“Mist, if you touch that I will rip every claw in your hands off and force you to eat them”
Mist head.png
“come on this is not a matter of me taking from the movement”
Ymgar head.png
“if we are detained before the sun sets, we will be sent straight back, deportation is not a part of the mission"
Schizo head.png
“ I would like a new staff, but Yngmar is right, some Imperial or Breton will have one worth stealing in the future”
Nulvia Head.png
“your eggs, their hot”
Ymgar head.png
“I can see why these things are considered a meal”
Kwama egg Icon.png

Ymgar head.png
“we are scarce of drakes Nul, we hardly have enough to feed and bed us for the night”

Mist head.png
“Khajiit have idea, if declawed ones would listen”
Schizo head.png
“hey, I spy with my golden eyes something valuable, it appears from a distance nothing more than old mine, but if one gives it a closer inspection they will notice tracks in the grass”

Mist head.png
Nulvia Head.png
Ymgar head.png
“smugglers!”

Seyda Neen smugglers cave.png

Morrowind 6 Into caves unknown.png

The four form up, the way they fight is Yngmar and Nulvia up front, Merionolemar and Mist in the back. Yngmar is untenable strongest, she could rip Merionolemar’s arms from his socket in one thrust. Nulvia is up front because she has no skill with the bow and no grasp of the art of destruction. Nulvia grows clampy in the pits and gets cottoned in the mouth, she noticed that Merionolemar has a grin from ear to ear, Yngmar and Mist were showing no emotion, they were weathered better then her she thought to herself.
Morrowind 7 First Blood.png

Nulvia is the first one in and is instantly spotted by a dunmer and a Khajiit
Tanisie head.png
“ what have we here”
Nulvia Head.png
“I-
She is interrupted as Merionolemar fires a shock volt straight into the Khajiit killing him instantly
Tanisie head.png
“wha, oh-”
*THUD*
Ymgar head.png
“sorry, it's nothing personal, just business”
Mist trifles through the dunmers pockets and snags a chitin dagger and 35 septims.

Morrowind 8 Flawless victory.png

morrowind 10 attention smugglurs.png

Nulvia Head.png
“Hello!, anybody home!”
Melar Baram Head.png
“bring me her head”
An Altmer, a Bosmer and a Dunmer charge Nulvia. Merionolemar fires another shock spell, putting the Altmer on the floor, but not killing her. The bosmer jabs a knife towards Nulvia, she swings her sword from left to right and back trying to keep him from sticking her. The bosmer is then stuck true by a conjured arrow from Mist. At first he continues with his advance, then he stops and feels his side, noticing that there is a warm sensation going down his leg, he glances down to see that his bear skin cloak is crimson before kneeling back on a wall and sliding down. While this is happening the Dunmer lobbs a fireball at Yngmar, who in the nick of time casts a reflection spell, singeing the man's hands, Yngmar then chops the burned hand off. In a panic the man cast a recall spell leaving his comrades to their fates.
Morrowind 13 relief and release.png

Elaena head.png

Schizo head.png
"you would stab our backs once turned, best to finish the job"
Elaena head.png
" I beg of you, my boss Melar has abandoned me, we have no quarrel"
Nulvia Head.png
"why would we spare a smuggler"
Elaena head.png
"I am a mage for hire, you can have my services on the house if you allow me to live"
Schizo head.png
" You are very lucky I feel charitable"
The altmer woman shows the gang where they were keeping the slaves. Nulvia orders for the liggers to be put to the sword and the Khajiit to be released.

And with that the fellowship grew to six.

Chapter 2
Morrowind 18 leaving Seyda Neen.png

The merific band marches East, traveling through the Ascadian Isles, the Rye Basket of Vvardenfell, is considerably more pleasant and safe then following the coast North. Nulvia at least is glad to leave the swamp fever capital. They wish to travel to Balmora, Stone Forest, the third largest city on the island, it is the seat of power of house Hlaalu. Doing so will allow them to try and form a connection to local dunmer. They decide to rest for the night in the pass separating the Bitter Coast from the Ascadian Isles, it has been a long day.
Last time 1.png

Morrowind 19 Great Teacher Mist.png

After setting up camp, Mist for a little bit of extra coin trained, Nulvia in the arts of Alteration, teaching her the principles of Water Walk, the most novice spell in the school.
Mist head.png
"Alteration is the magic of change, feather and burden change the weight of an object, buoyancy prevents one from sinking, and water walking allows one to traverse the waves as if they were the sands"
Nulvia Head.png
"And a recall spell would be me altering my position!"
Mist head.png
"No young whiskers!"
Mist head.png
"That would be Mysticism, the manipulation of magical forces and boundaries to bypass the structures and limitations of the physical world"
Mist head.png
"Alteration has to abide by the rules of Ahnurr"
Mist head.png
"this one is vexing"
Yngmar and Baardargo at this time were on watch out, they sat on a raised position which allowed them to view both sides of the pass for some distance.
Baardargo head.png
" What does this one plan to do in this land of ash?"
Ymgar head.png
"Me, I am here as an escort, got to keep old Merio kicking"
Ymgar head.png
"Why we were sent here, if I had to be honest we are almost certainly a distraction for something they are planning back West"
Baardargo head.png
"Play a trick to distract the guard, *purrrrrrrr* We Khajiit have a story about a distraction"
Baardargo head.png
" A thief tricked a young kitten into distracting Nocturnal while he made off with the goods"
Ymgar head.png
"I am not going to force you to stay"
Baardargo head.png
"I am dead already, on the books"
Morrowind 20 Past imperialized Hamlet.png

Waking up in the morning they follow the road north, along the way see Pelagiad, Legionnaires after receiving their severance purchased land surrounding Fort Pelagiad, it is a small but growing hamlet. Due to the nature of human and merific breeding the parasites will soon number in the thousands rather than hundreds while Gnaar Mok and Ald’Velothi villages of similar sizes will grow much slower. This is how the round ears sink their teeth in.
Morrowind 21 Highway men spotted.png

Along the road the band spots several cloaked men hiding behind a rock by the road.
Schizo head.png
"Alright mudcrabs, who is ready for some morning exercise"
Nord thug 1 face.png
we have been spotted, fall back
Schizo head.png
"Skin Em alive"
The cloaked man stood at three, a Nord, a Khajiit, and an imperial. They all fled up will towards an abandoned mine, the gang pursued them, ignoring formation, Meriolemar was in front firing spells as he ran, the Altmer woman and Mist followed him next, Baardargo and Yngmar were caught off guard by the charge and were lagging behind them, Nulvia froze up for a moment then proceeded to follow after them. The cloaked men formed a line in front of the cave and casted shield spells, Meriolemar after a failed shot or two then fired a kinetic spell at the dirt in front of them, a cloud of dust explodes in front of them.
imperial thug 1 head.png
"my eyes, that-AAAAH"
A chitin star was chucked by Mist into the cloud, striking the imperial. A fireball bellows through the cloud towards Mist and the Altmer Woman, they both throw up shield spells. The fireball lands in front of them then explodes, the forces blows the both of them back several meters.
Nord thug 1 face.png
"your in trouble now knife ears"
Schizo head.png
"is that so"
A breton now stands behind the Nord,
Morrowind_-_Manual_-_Breton.png
"take Dalannius in Zoazakar"
Yngmar and Baardargo have caught up. There is a moment of silence at the two men stare Meriolemar, Yngmar and Baardargo down. Back closer to the road, Nulvia is helping Mist and the Altmer woman up. they are both sore, but both have a strong grasp of Restoration magic and no permanent damage was done. From behind a bosmer who hid in between rocks while the others fled snuck up on the three and thrusted a daggering into the altmer woman's right thigh, paralyzing her. Nulvia before she can fully turn is hit with a sound spell, making her ears ring, Mist manages to conjure a shortsword in this time, the bosmer lunges at him, taking the two of them to the ground. Mist grabs the bosmer by his chest, and throws him off. Mist returns the bosmers knife in way of pitching it into him. Top side the calm is broken.
Morrowind_-_Manual_-_Breton.png
"you have caused us more trouble than your worth Altmer"
and with that he cast a blinding light and the two men recall.
Ymgar head.png
"the cowards used a lock spell on the door"
Baardargo head.png
"nothing can be gained from staying here"

Morrowind 24 for loves sake.png

They meet on the road a Breton lady. She is in desperate need of a hero as they say, Nuvlia touched by her sentiments agrees to help her. It is a fact she thinks to herself, that Breton women are wired to prefer the superior touch of a mer. It's ok for bandits and slaves to take them as mistresses, we have to breed a new slave cast anyway.

1: how we got here
Hello people, we live in a world very different from the one of our forefathers. Not 500 years ago the idea of Cyrodilic banners flying over even a Single major Altmeri city was an impossibility that could only happen in colonies situated in the Eltheric Ocean, and even then it was not something the average mer could see happening for an extended period of time. Our people’s navy was unmatched, our culture was the world’s culture. When we looked at the races of Nirn it was obvious who were the descendants of gods and heroes, and who were the cattle and beast. In the Summerset, our cities glistened with the light of Aetherius, our scholars were and still are second to none. ValenWood is the pinnacle of natural beauty, the Bosmer are a people who embody faith and belief, while some more narrow minded Altmer may look down upon them, the Bosmer more than anybody have proven themselves dedicated to their Merific brothers. Resdayn, home of the Dunmer, is the largest nation on Tamriel as well as the most numerous of its inhabitants, like most Mer it can claim members of its race that have achieved godhood, with them still being present on Nirn.
Now of course if you're reading this you do know that Nedic banners fly over every Merific city, Altmer, Bosmer, or Dunmer. We live in an Era of men, and most Mer can no longer remember a time before that. Some cowards even welcome it calling themselves “the beautiful”, as if mongrelization is something to be celebrated. As this era continues the proportion of Summersets population of Elven blood decreases, and if nothing changes, there will be a day when we Mer are driven to extinction. This is because as Mer we put our personal goals and desires over the good and needs of our people.
It has to be said that in the earlier parts of the Merific era it could be excused that mer would break off and fight one enough as on the continent no beast race could face us, our stock occupied most of Tamriel. The Dwemer occupied High Rock, Hammerfell, Skyrim, and Morrowind. The Ayleids Cyrodiil and portions of Elsweyr and Argonia. The Altmer, Sommerset and the Iliac. Bosmer Valenwood. The Chimer Morrowind, And the Falmer Skyrim. It was so great our peoples control that the Atmorans called Tamriel Mereth as only the darkest pits of Black Marsh did not have a mer or near-mer. The Nedic people, the humans of the continent were no more than slaves to us.
This changed with the return of Ysgrim from Atmora. The Companions slaughtered our brothers the Falmer, and during that time where were the Altmer, Dwemer, Ayleids, and Chimer? Bickering amongst each other over petty rivalries and disputes. With that a branch of Aldmeri excellence was lost, and that lose compounded when the Atmorans then helped the Nedic slaves overthrow and eventually destroy the Ayleids. The Nords, as they began to call themselves, then invaded High Rock and Resdayn. Although Indoril Nerevar, Proud hero of the merific race, was able to drive the Nords out of Resdayn, High Rock too was lost to a race of mongrel half-breeds. In Resdayn the Dwemer, who did nothing about the extermination of the Falmer, opted to work with the Nords against their Merific cousins in the war of the first council. Although the Chimer were once again victorious over the Nords, it came at a great cost, the death of Indoril Nerevar. The Dwemer would also disappear, their choice of warring with their brothers for personal gain was not unusual. But, at this point half the continent was lost.
The Re Gada invasion of Hammerfell that followed, if had occurred a mere mileania ago at that time, would have ended with the Yokudens being driven back on their boats, the Altmer settlers of the region have had the backing of Summerset and clan Direnni to push them back. Our people would continue to not look at the bigger picture for the remainder of the first and second era. Although the examples are numerous, I want to close with Vivec and the Armistice treaty. Handing over Numidium and allowing imperial settlement, for what he perceived to be a better bargaining position. In the end all it did was allow the hordes of man to invade the Isles proper, and give up Morrowind without a fight.
Now before you throw in the bucket, remember that because you are not alone in reading this, that there are mer still being born with the right stuff, and that no matter how they may dress up their barberism, a united merific band can still dislodge them.

Chapter 3
Last time 2.png

When we left, Nelos(red) agreed to come with us to see Maurrie Aurmine (blue). Now we march back North.
Morrowind 27 Marching for love.png

the remainder of the trip was a quiet one.

Morrowind 29 the band grows.png

Maurrie is red in the face when she see’s Nelos. The two exchange some words, and ask to accompany us for a while longer. Maurrie has agreed to finance a base in the region and would hide out there with Nelos.
Morrowind 30 good bye Nelos.png

Setting up the Ascadian Isles base.png

On a peninsula wedged between the Fields of Kummu and Pelagiad, nelos stakes his claim, this is where they will build a life together, Baardargo asks to stay behind for a while to help them move money and get their homestead set up. Although it is the fall, due to the thermal activities of Red Mountain, you can grow crops in this region year round. When we really start moving, we are going to need to establish a steady source of food anyway.
Morrowind 31 Wait your name is Elenaena.png

Along the road north to Balmora the Altmer woman opens up a chat with Nulvia.
Elaena head.png
"Nulvia, my ruby eyed friend I do not believe we have has a one to one correspondence yet"
Nulvia Head.png
" I guess we haven’t, what do you want to talk about"
Elaena head.png
" So you are planning on becoming an alterationist?"
Nulvia Head.png
"yes, It seems like I am the only one without a education in it"
Elaena head.png
"I know a woman in Balmora that would be a great help to you"
Elaena head.png
"On Vvardenfell the Altmer community is very close knit"
Nulvia Head.png
"Is that so"
Ymgar head.png
"It is very common for member of the same race to clump together, it makes home not so far from the heart"
Elaena head.png
"Estirdalin in the Balmora Mages guild is probably your best bet, she has decades of tutoring in the fields of Alteration and Destruction"
morrowind 32 wadding through the Foyada.png

Six days have passed since they landed in Seyda Neen, in a couple of hours they will be in Balmora, in a short while they will pass the MoonMoth Legion fort. Meriolemar plans to recruit in Balmora. In a war the amount of people who have swords in hand and fight are actually a minority, the engineers, transports, and quartermasters are what really make an army formidable. A castles main purpose is to either force the enemy to siege it out, or have their supply caravans raided, a man who could cut stone with a single strike is useless if he succumbs to hunger, same with an archer with no arrows, or mages without a supply of potions. Although horses have yet to be introduced to Vvardenfell, due to the Kagouti and Alits that would victimize them in the suitable regions of West Gash and the Ascadian Isles, supplying a field force is still done by pack guar. A benefit is that the legion is more conservative with their few mages, and have no archer legions, with archers only being stationed on fort as auxilia. Meriolemar wants masons and carpenters in this recruitment, warriors can be trained and raised.
morrowind 33 moonmoth in sight.png

The legion in Vvardenfell is stationed in a handful of settlements and forts, Moonmoth fort is the garrison stationed near Balmora. The imperials stationed a legion by all four major cities. Moonmoth Legion led by Radd Hard-Heart, a nord whose expertise in drilling and bookkeeping has allowed him to rise through the ranks quickly after joining up after his time in the fighters guild. As a commander he is known for his rescue operations, as well as having personal beef with the Temple army.
Morrowind 34 Balmora South Gate.png

Schizo head.png
"Elen and Nulvia, I want you two to go to the mages guild and recruit that Estirdalin"
Nulvia Head.png

Schizo head.png
"Yngmar and I will do our best to hit up the local corner clubs and find a few disgruntled workers"

Chapter 4
morrowind 36 Alteration Professor .png

In the blue glow of the Balmora Mages Guild, Nulvia comes face to face with Estirdalin, a very well respected member of the Altmer community on Vvardenfell. Noticing that Elenaena was accompanying her, her face melts into a warm smile.
estirdalin head.png
"Elen you look young as ever, please come sit down for some rye and tea"
Nulvia Head.png
"I-I, uh was told that you would be the person to uh, talk to about learning the practice-”
estirdalin head.png
"Loosen up, you are as strung as a lute"
Nulvia Head.png
"I’m sorry"
estirdalin head.png
"No, no, no"
estirdalin head.png
"Let us start again"
Elaena head.png
"Hello Dalli, I have this friend of mine, and if you would be guiding wind for her that would delight me to no end"
estirdalin head.png
"see young dunmer, you are among friends, so let down those shoulders"
The trio sat down for tea. The tea was a

marshmerrow pesto. The pastry was a
TR-icon-ingredient-Meadow_Rye.png
meadow rye soft bread, with a

comberry jam slathered on the top of it. These were a sweetness very different from what Nulvia was used to back west, where sweets were made from corn pulp and sugar cane. Although different, it grew on her quickly, her tongue had a slight stinging sensation from her mouth drying up from the sweets, tears began to sieve through her eyelashes as memories of her carelessly disregarding the commands and pleas of her sister pricked her heart. Her brooding was postponed by Estirdalin when she parlayed Nulvia back into the chit chat.
estirdalin head.png
"Tell me Nulvia, why have you taken to the magical disciplines"
Nulvia Head.png
"I had always been enchanted with day dreams of walking lakes, and traversing among the clouds"

"A child at heart I see"
estirdalin head.png
" I tease, Alteration is exactly the practice you are looking for, and when it comes to passing this knowledge to others, I am unmatched"
Morrowind 37 the power of coin.png

After a bit of training, Nulvia broached the idea of hiring her as a full time tutor, and after a 200 drake down payment, agreed to join the party.
morrowind 38 pauper for the cause.png

Upon meeting up with Meriolemar and Yngmar. Nulvia was pleased to find a new face amongst them. Llandras Belaal is a dark elf that opened up to Meriolemar after a few drinks, Landras is very concerned with the influx of foreigners especially their historical enemies the nords. He is an impoverished sorcerer, who used to be an independent service provider before the mages guild muscled in.
morrowind 39 Balmora Cell.png

Balmora cell.png

morrowind 40 View of the Odai.png

Balmora as a major settlement on the island needs its own cell, Meriolemar decides that a hill north of town overlooking the road to Caldera is the perfect spot, raiding ebony caravans will be a vital role once the war starts, as well as a base to keep tabs on the city itself, if we were to go to war with Hlaalu, they could definitely raise a few divisions from the populace. Meriolemar leaves Estirdalin, Elenaena, Mist, and Llandras there to start the construction and recruitment in the region while the party moves on.

Chapter 5
morrowind 42 Caldera town.png

Caldera, The Caldera Mining Company is a monopolistic enterprise sanctioned by the emperor. The mine itself is for ebony, the most precious of the malleable materials on Nirn. Adamantine, Glass, Mithril, and Ebony are what the legion makes its military grade weapons and armor out of. Through monopolistic control over the substances the various kingdoms, duchies, counties, and baronies are kept from ever really being a threat to the emperor’s rule. Tiber Septim invaded Morrowind for its rich deposits of Adamantine, Glass, and most valuable of all Ebony. The best resourced kingdoms might have a contingent of soldiers who have scrounged up a collection of decent gear. With the exception of the Nords with their Runic Silver and the Orcs with their Orsinium, it's Silver, Steel, and Elven that is what the provincial lords can muster. Caldera itself is an imperial boom town with various shops and services to milk the miners of their coin.

"This town on paper is a Hlaalu settlement, like Seyda Neen where we landed"
Nulvia Head.png
"The Hlaalu have westernized?"
Schizo head.png
"The truth is that the duke uses Hlaalu stamps to place imperial settlements"
Schizo head.png
"The Hlaalu build their towns with adobe, their fortresses traditionally have truncated pyramid bases with smaller structures place on top of them"
Nulvia Head.png
"Is that so"
Ymgar head.png
"The Hlaalu still practice traditional Velothi fortification methods"
Schizo head.png
"While the Indoril and Redoran have improved greatly"
Ymgar head.png
"So like the Forebearers of Hammerfell, they let the empire in to bolster their defenses"
Schizo head.png
"No, the Hlaalu just could not realistically put up a fight"
Ymgar head.png
"Medizing, weakness leads to such wickedness"
Morrowind 43 Caldera explained.png

In Caldera the gang asked about the mine, an imperial trooper explained to them that the mine itself is in the valley to the West of town.

Traveling West, the gang eventually finds the Caldera mine, it is a nasty place to be, smog and debris litter the area. The gang sneaks into the office building.

"Wait Nulvia, rummage through these crates"
Nulvia Head.png
"What for?"
Schizo head.png
"These are supplies that have just been shipped, someone may have mailed some septims or jewelry"

Schizo head.png
"Meriolemar, I am new to the isle"
meanen head.png
"Your profession"
Schizo head.png
"Mage, Estirdalin in Balmora told me that the Altmer on this island are thick as thieves"
meanen head.png
"that is true, your well acquainted it seems"
On the promise of a better contract Meanen ops to walk out on the Caldera mine.

Elynea Norvayn, the Chief of security makes a deal with us, she will slip us ebony if we can find aa miner to do it, and convince Meanen to stay.
Morrowind 47 The plan is set.png

The plan is set. Nulvia goes into the mine, and frees the slaves, she also convinces one of the miners to smuggle ebony for her.
Morrowind 48 Emperors kindess.png

The empire is such a kind place isn't it Nulvia thinks to herself.
Morrowind 49 jail break.png

She frees the slaves, they will leave in the night. They plan to go West and leave through Gnaar Mok.
Morrowind 50 Dun-Ilu Assurnumausur.png

In the mines Nulvia bumps into a miner. his name is Dun-Ilu Assurnumausur, his indicates that he is actually an ash landers, all the miners are ash landers. There is less fuss when ash landers die in accidents. He agrees to help Nuvlia smuggle ebony. He manages to smuggle 100 pounds of Ebony this run. a set of Ebony armor cost about 133,000 drakes to produce, a longsword 20,000. we have enough ebony to forge a single longsword, but we lack the proper equipment and expertise to do so. The raw ebony itself is only worth 2,000 septims.

Chapter 6
Morrowind 52 the bitter road.png

Having set up a plan to smuggle Ebony, Meriolemar decides that the next move is for him to return to the Summerset for a while. Nulvia will be left in charge of operations for the next month or so while he is gone. He and Yngmar are to take a ship in Gnaar Mok to the mainland, then use the mages guilds teleportation services back to Summerset. The ship will take two days to get to Baan Malor, due to disease risk, the guild will not teleport members from and to the Isle. Going from Baan Malor to Kogotel, Riften, Bruma, Sutch in the first day. It will cost about 1500 gold for the two of them, Meriolemar has been in the guild for a while and gets a senior discount. Then it will take 13 days to sail to Firsthold. 13 days back to Sutch, and so on.
Schizo head.png
" Nulvia, I want you to recruit a Bitter Coast cell, find a workable Black smith, and see about arming the Balmora cell"
Nulvia Head.png
"where should I start?"

Ymgar head.png
" Well Bosmer seem to get the worst of it from the Legionaries"
Schizo head.png
"There is a nativist group called the Comanna Tong"
Schizo head.png
"Find a member and try to do some good for them"
Nulvia Head.png
"wait, if they are nativist-
Schizo head.png
"win them over"
With a goodbye, Meriolemar and Yngmar were off. In the village Nulvia was able to hear some gossip, Sheogorad the northern isle regions of Vvardenfell was taken over by nords recently, they apparently landed in Dagon Fel on the 22nd of Last Seed. They slaughtered the imperial garrison. One of the Troopers knew the spell Divine intervention and was able to escape.
Morrowind 53 A failure of diplomacy .png

Following her teachers advice Nulvia approaches a Bosmer man.
Nulvia Head.png
"Hello Bosmer"
Nameless Bosmer.png
"Hello Dark Elf"
Nulvia Head.png
"Have you heard the news?"
Nameless Bosmer.png
"About the nords?"
Nulvia Head.png
"Yes"
Nameless Bosmer.png
"It is an awful thing that they did"
Nulvia Head.png
"Yeah those Lorhkan worshiping reprobates are a threat to civilization"
Nameless Bosmer.png
"That is racist language and I am disgusted by it"
he turns and begins to walk away, before turning back and stating
Nameless Bosmer.png
"To think I was going to let you suck my dick"
Efforts with others had similar outcomes, Nulvia just can't seem to win people over. Slum about her prospects she retreats to the corner club. Where she meets a man sympathetic to her sentiments.
Morrowind 54 Comanna Tong Agent Ulven.png

Anas Ulven Head.png
"Are you here to take a boat back to the mainland?"
Nulvia Head.png
"No, I am wondering why it is so hard for these people to understand what the invasion means"
Nulvia Head.png
"This is about the races of Men edging the lands of elves"
Anas Ulven Head.png
"For an outlander your pretty observant"
Nulvia Head.png
"Your not a fan of men either"
Anas Ulven Head.png
"who would be, I am a proud Dunmer, Morrowind is my peoples home"
Anas Ulven Head.png
"One day all the right thinking Dunmer are going to kill the outlanders in their sleep"
Nulvia Head.png
"Tell me, would you be interested in perhaps helping me boot the empire out of morrowind"
Anas Ulven Head.png
"Does a Guar shit in the swamp"
Anas Ulven Head.png
" What kind of movement are you part of?"
Nulvia Head.png
"I am a member of the Merific Alliance, a group dedicated to the preservation of the divine races"
Anas Ulven Head.png
"Why should I work with Bosmer and Altmer?"
Nulvia Head.png
"Our people's first goal should be defeating the Imperial world order, should it not"
After some deliberation Anas agreed to visit Dren Plantation and ask about arranging a meeting with Orvas Dren, the Dukes brother, if we went with him to Khuul and investigated the Nordic invasion. Taking a ship to Khuul the two find that the village is a ghost town, The Redoran authorities ferried the citizens South to Ald Velothi to take refuge in the fortification there, as well as to bunch up the available men at arms.
Morrowind 55 Khuul commander Ondi.png

Ondi, a knight errant, one of the twenty commissioned officers the legion has present on Vvardenfell, and is organizing a counter maneuver.
Morrowind Chapter six rumored positions Sheograd.png

Taking a map of Northern Vvardenfell, She had reports from fishers and sailors of nords in fur spotted on Ashmelech Island East of Valenvaryon fortress. Ondi believes that only the Redoran, Ash Landers, and Imperials will get involved, but still has the Telvanni positions marked as the Nords may consider them high value targets. The two major Ashlander tribes in the region are probably not going to leave their villages while the threat is active, and an Ash Storm as prevented the soldiers at Shishi from traveling North. Ondi wants to contain the situation before another power can get involved, so she has raised some drakes to convince some locals to assist her men in their operation. The operation is to set up in Ald resdyania and help the local Redoran take the stronghold of the same name from the Necromancers that occupy it, and use it as a forward base to retake Dagon Fel. Fort FrostMoth on Solstheim is experiencing unrest and is having trouble preparing a response. Darius in Gnisis is likewise opting to wait and meet up with the BuckMoth detachment before entering the region. Ondi is probably thinking she will earn herself a pretty promotion, as well a legion of her own stationed in Sheogorad. Nulvia Volunteered for the expidition, needing both the money and experiance in order to wage a war of her own.
Morrowind 56 Ondi's troopers.png

Ondi was in charge of a regiment of troops divided between Dagon Fel and Khuul, she and her Lt. stayed in Khuul in order to be closer to Darius her superior. Dagon Fel was guarded by most of her imperial troopers, Lodielheim Black-Legs (the Nord) her personal aid was the only other legionnaire on hand with any real amount of training. Haldhik(the Redguard) and Narylvan Guvrrilo(the Dunmer) where weekend soldiers who had spent nearly as much time picking their teeth as working.
Morrowind 57 Khuul Volunteers.png

Cyldus Noril (the one in the middle) was a rancher who had experiance dealing with Ash Landers stealing cattle, Vatvon Beniai (the one on the right) was a fisherman who had some training in combat from the temple, Ferams Faroor (the one on the left) was a desperate pauper who needed the coin. The seven of them board a rowboat and row towards Ald Resdyania.
Morrowind 58 Regrouping on the port.png

Meeting up the local Redoran guards at the port, it seems a band of nords has set up camp right between the village and the fortress.

Chapter 7
Morrowind 0062.png

Ald Resdyania is a remote Redoran fishing village. It was founded to retake the old altmeri fortress of Ald Resdyania (this fortress is where the original name for the region originates), as of now there have been two attempts by the Redoran to clear out the necromancers inside, but both ended in mass casualties and embarrassment. The fortress was at first an Altmeri tower build by colonist before being overrun by dreugh, who were intern ran out by Chimer, then the Nords pushed them out, after the war of the first council, and the establishment of Vvardenfell and her archipelagoes in Sheogorad and Ascadia, a rouge Telvanni wizard set up shop, the Telvanni present in the tower were slain over a dispute in ownership of the mythical Vampiric Ring, the necromancers have been their for a spell and have held out well enough, though it seems unlikely they will get any support as the necromancers guild is in a bit of a pickle back west.
The battle of Ald Resdyania.png

Dark Blue :Nords
Dark Red: Imperial troopers
Red: Redoran guards
Baby Blue: Village Militia
Regular Blue : Imperial volunteers
But to the Redorans luck the Nords are unaware of the occupants of the tower, their 15 man war band is split into three parts, the smallest unit faced the tower on the hill, the middle sized unit faced the village, and the largest unit was covering their rear. They had a camp set up where the rear unit was positioned. The local Redoran Commander, Melvsi Seran is convinced that the band is made up of younger men, and is waiting for a second band before making an assault on the tower or village.
Malvsi Saren head.png "These men look young, they have not bothered to even scout the tower or village out before setting camp, clearly green"
Nulvia Head.png "So what do you suppose?"
Malvsi Saren head.png "Strike the forward party, if we hit the first group with overwhelming force, they should shatter, then fall back to the dock when the other men charge you"
Black legs head.png "Nine of them could cause us some serious problems, they may just cut us down and march on through"
Malvsi Saren head.png "That is why you need to retreat onto the docks, I will have the local militia come out of the shacks and ambush them"
Hadrik head.png "you seem to have this thing figured out"
Morrowind 59 Chao's in Resdyania.png

The group charges the first group, the assault is made in two lines, the front line is made up of the two Redoran guards, Commander Black-Legs, And Nulvia because she has a shield, the back line is the other imperial soldiers and volunteers. The engagement catches the Nords off guard and they lose a man in the first charge, a Redoran sticks a mace in his neck. The four remaining nords pitch into the front line, four axes with superb coordination come down on the first row, Nulvia is knocked down and Ferams moves forward and plugs the hole, another nord is brought down by the other Redoran guard, when his longsword severs two of the nords fingers holding his axe.
Morrowind 60 Youth once spilt.png

The Nords fall back and the Tower facing group descends upon the Coalition forces. Nulvia and her squad form up a reverse V formation to try and counter the pincer maneuver the Nordics are attempting, Ferams takes an ax to the temple, killing him almost instantly. Lodielheim Black-Legs manages to bust a few ribs in a nord when his claymore struck his chest, likewise another nord was felled by the redorans mace, this time by a strike to the left shoulder cutting into his arteries. Both groups backed off, the Nords decided to fall back, suffering three casualties and one capture.
Black legs head.png "Good work everybody, I will take our friend back to Gninis to get what we can out of him, by the end of the week, detachments from Darius, Falx, and Ismin should arrive and make an attack suicide"
This victory would not have been possible had the Redoran had to face the Nords head on 15 to 7. Even if the 11 nords regrouped and charged the coalition's 8 advance force, they would have been able to tear through them. Saren had rightly surmised that these men had never seen combat before and were largely unprepared to get pitched into a slug match. The Imperials took over Tamriel largely because they practiced the best unit tactics and had large populations to pump into war, they are the most populous of the human races and the second most populous in Tamriel, the Dunmer are actually the most populous of the races. But due to their elven biology they reproduce slowly and have fewer children.
Morrowind 61 Nulvia's rebirth.png

Nulvia that night found herself restless, until it finally hit her, she had never really been pushed before, this trip has for the first time in her life, made her grow. She had been coasting through life, relying on others to make her decisions and deal with trouble when the going got tough. Her heart raced thinking about how alive she felt.
(context Mist, Meriolemar, and Yngmar are levels 7, 14, and 11 respectively right now).
Strategic positions chapter seven.png

The next day a Redoran Guard, Haldrick, Narylvan, and Noril were sent out to scout the Eastern half of the island for where the Nords set up camp. They had spotted them across the lake, it ended up being a trap as they were ambushed when they approached the lake to fire arrows at them. Noril ended up buying the farm before they could pull back. On a related note, Orcs have been seen with the Nords, and an ashlander tribe on Sheogorads main island had to relocate to a more southern island. Nulvia would learn later that the Shishi detachment was ambushed by Daedra worshipers in the Foyada. The Temple also sent in a detachment, the Elite Ordinators, where they are assaulting a Sheogorath stronghold to the far east. Though tons of sighting are now getting back to Ald Resdyania.

Malvsi Saren head.png "An Alterationist huh"
Nulvia Head.png "Just an ameuter really"
Malvsi Saren head.png "Your walking on the water as if it were solid"
Nulvia Head.png "This is a novice spell really"
Nulvia falls into the water
Malvsi Saren head.png "hahaha, not used to praise huh?"
Nulvia Head.png "I am nothing special, in fact it took me many months to master Hearth Heal"
Malvsi Saren head.png "And now you can save a life if need be"
Nulvia Head.png "I have trouble under pressure"
Malvsi Saren head.png "We all do, you have done a great thing simply by coming here"
Malvsi Saren head.png "Your ancestors are truly lucky to have the pleasure of watching over you"
Nulvia pulls herself onto the dock, her robe heavy with sea water, she waves her arms towards Saren, covering her in icy salt water.
Malvsi Saren head.png "Brrrh, you did not have to do that"

Nulvia Head.png "hahaha, now we are even are we not"
Malvsi Saren head.png "so we are"
Saren’s eye’s narrow and her smile fades.
Malvsi Saren head.png "Tell me, Nulvia"
Malvsi Saren head.png"You speak with an Altmer accent"
Malvsi Saren head.png "You have no family here"
Nulvia Head.png "No my family originates from the Deshaan Plains, we are Dres in clan"
Malvsi Saren head.png "You helped those people, people you have no connection to"
Malvsi Saren head.png "That was a very honorable thing to do"
Nulvia Head.png "Want to learn how to walk on water?
Malvsi Saren head.png "dodging the question ehh, sure I can pick it up"
Malvsi Saren head.png "With the right master"
For the next six days, the two girls practiced water walking. Although neither of them could reliably cast water walk, they felt confident that they were making progress. Only the Buckmoth legion would actually send a detachment of troops though. Nulvia takes a boat back to Khuul next time
