I looked at a MK wiki and the Scorpion link on the main page went to the Kuai Liang page, which was mostly about Sub-Zero. I hope they make it more convoluted. All I want is a list of all the joke AU characters at the end.

She's worse than that rando non-actor alt Sub-Zero skin/voice. If you didn't know who it was you would immediately be able to guess it was some celebrity cameo.

Warning: story explanation THEN sperging on that ahead.

It'll be funnier because people are guessing elsewhere that the original "Scorpion" AKA the Yellow Fire Ninja (real name Hanzo Hasashi) will become "Noob Saibot" AKA the Black Shadow Ninja in this new timeline... which is the identity the "FIRST Sub-Zero" AKA the Blue Ice Ninja (real name Bi-Han) took after the first game back in '92 when he got killed by Scorpion. The Kuai Liang you saw was Bi-Han's brother and became the "SECOND Sub-Zero" AKA the main one for the vast majority of MK's existence starting in MK2 in '93.

It literally boils down to them wanting the iconic Sub-Zero/Scorpion rivalry to be active again in-universe and apparently cribbing from the co-creator's planned story for the first game that they were originally going to be brothers. I admit again I like Kuai Liang the character as a firebender against Bi-Han's icebending, but I'll also readily concede he needed a unique color, codename, whatever and keep Hanzo as Scorpion.

Megan fox‘s voice performance is so terrible, I honestly can’t tell if Megan Fox is that untalented as an actress, or if she just couldn’t be bothered and half assed the whole thing for a quick buck.

It sticks out painfully, as everyone else is incredibly profesional and talented, and she sounds like she is just reading out loud from a piece of paper, that, by the way, is the first time she ever read.

Whatever NS studio paid they got scammed big time.
