That shit looks lame as fuck...
Also, why not OG Bo, why NRS had to put this benderbender there again...
Noob doesn't like uh oh stinky grandmaster go brap, so they just have to girlboss him into a generic Azn granny that has a bog hag daughter that's also voiced by female Azn Smeagol too. Oh, and Shebooniqua Cyrax is a Nigerien/Nigerian; so basically it's okay to call her a nigger whilst definitely not pronouncing the hard r, or nigga without being caught by baboon players of MK. NR do such disrespect to the original Cyrax and Sektor so hard, it's just sad. It's going to be generic crossover fighting game number 1000 soon when KP3 arrives.
IMG_7693.jpeg

I liked Sektor and Cyrax' MK9 human appearances though...
Peak design. Not like the girlbossed ones.

Old times when MK was all gorefest, goof, and muscles, and tits. 90s - 2000s Midway MK is still good shit. Some exceptions were 9, and maybe X and barely 11.

Warnerstein Bros really took every bit of enjoyment that could be had out of MK with a syringe holy shit.

What is the point of the series even existing anymore?
Oy vey...
It's for the kosher shekelstorm revenue for every guest goyim, goy. The more billig or teir movie goyim are bentsch in the shekel pack, it's consoom for every meshugah oytzer and goyim nostalgia bait for the lobbus goyim.

What is the point of the series even existing anymore?
The most obvius answer:

Though with what a faggot course WB and NRS have chosen there wont be as much as they want. People had legit complaints about MK'11 and its story, the direction to where it is going.

MK1 is just a soy. It's not MK without our beloved Aussie wanker.
Yes I know Kano's cameo sidekick but it would've been more beneficial to bring him back as proper fighter instead of one of the guest characters.

Sans means without, or lacking; which may implicate that Kano will hunt down the rest of the Black Dragon traitors, remaining of the SF, OIA, and possibly, everyone that poses as massive threat to the Klan. Implied to be the entire kast of MK 1992.

What's funny was that Raiden back then was a big fucking asshole, before Midway thinks that's not a good idea at all and retcon him into the Raiden that we know today.
With all the lore discussion and fanficcin' we do in the thread, I do also admit sometimes it's obvious a plot point or personality just needed time to gestate or Midway/NRS really retconned something for the better. The Sans is obviously a throwaway what-if back when they had no clue if MK would do well and Raiden's assholery makes a lot more sense if you see MK1 as a single one-off thing completely immersed in its Orientalism and darkness.

I go full 'tism on making it clear the Sub-Zero brothers never had anything to do with the Shirai Ryu's deaths. It was the agreement of the Grandmaster (Midway)/Sektor (NRS) for Quan Chi to use his magic to destroy the SR in return for Bi-Han nabbing the scroll. The devil in the details is that Quan Chi was more than happy to let Scorpion think the Lin Kuei did the massacre alone instead of him doing it as part of a deal (both timelines) while letting him also think Bi-Han personally killed his family (both timelines), and then go "oops wrong Sub-Zero I meant Kuai Liang" (MK4). Both timelines in various forms show us Scorpion realized the Sub-Zero brothers' only crime was Bi-Han murdering him, which, in fairness, is understandable to be pissed about but that was at least as morbidly "professional" as it gets.

I like to combine the Midway/NRS details when possible because none of them truly contradict each other or make one timeline's point make even more sense:

-Quan Chi discusses destroying the SR with the Grandmaster [MKM]/Sektor[MKX] alike for the scroll.
-Scorpion is created and told by Quan Chi the LK massacred his clan [all timelines] and "Sub-Zero" (no other name given) personally killed his family [MK9's MK1/MK4].
-Bi-Han can join Sektor and Cyrax on Outworld's side so the LK has protection and power [MK9's MK1], but the "kill Shang Tsung" hit by a rival is insurance for some payout if they lose and Bi-Han personally takes it to hopefully get out of the dangerous life [MK1].
-Of course, Bi-Han literally goes to hell for his troubles and is killed by Scorpion [all timelines].
-Kuai Liang is officially sent with Smoke to salvage the hit money [MK2] while he also takes up the Sub mantle [all timelines] and is personally ready to find Scorpion and kill him in revenge [MK9's MK2].
-I headcanon Scorpion is wondering why he isn't at peace and moving on once his family's killer died... he joins the Outworld tourney to take down the suddenly alive Sub-Zero and is confused why he's being friendly and merciful to others [MK2].
-He fights the rageful Kuai Liang and escapes being killed [MK9's MK2], and realizes it's Bi-Han's younger brother. With his realization he vows to stop the cycle of violence and become Kuai's protector [MK2].
-Shao dicks Shinnok over and invades the Netherrealm unsuccessfully but throws it into chaos [MK3], Scorpion gets out of it with another shot at finding peace [conjecture], joins Shao's forces but realizes Sub is one of the good guys and turns on them even though he's sent packing back to Hell [MK3].
-From there, take your pick on NRS's "MK4" (in MKX) or actual MK4. In both Kuai Liang eventually proves he and his brother's innocence over the SR and Hasashi family murders in both timelines and Scorpion can see Kuai Liang restarted the LK from scratch.

Basically, Hanzo realizes he has a right to be mad but turned it against the wrong people while staring at a mirror self of him in a vengeful Kuai Liang, while Kuai Liang's better nature realizes something greater was afoot after seeing his would-be revenge cut short. I love it, it's a great plot point to have Kuai remain angry at Scorpion for a bit while Scorpion's now looking out for him from the shadows, and to keep the "traditional" Sub-Scorp hatred going in the foundational set of games/lore. I suppose Sektor's MK3 ending can be written off as a what-if in such a "combined" timeline, where he can realize Outworld is the danger all along if you have it in an MK3 where they pledged loyalty to Shao. I do vastly prefer the clan being dickwads out only for themselves though, a la Midway.

EDIT: I can't quote and drag said quote into this post, but Human Sektor and Cyrax's MK9 designs were fantastic and my only wish is they got traditional masks like the other ninjas.... though that's a minor quibble between plenty of good fanart that gives them so, and I adored then and now all the newfound information we got on the up-to-then mysterious Lin Kuei ninjas outside of Kuai Liang, including all their faces outside Bi-Han's. And Bi-Han's modeled face under the mask being totally bald and clean-shaven is at least oddly on-point looking at Noob's burnt hairless skull in MK11.

Now return MK to a better, older timeline and gimme Hydro beyond an MK11 assist as a cyan-colored water-elemental ninja and one of Bi-Han's buddies, NRS. You can't go wrong adding more elemental color-coded ninjas into the Lin Kuei.

These guest characters already wore out their welcome in MKX when they replaced Baraka with the alien. Leave the retarded crossover shit to Mugen and give us Mortal Kombat characters in your Mortal Kombat game.
In NRS, it's not going to give them money. So Jew Noob would instead use the method of over-welcoming movie guest characters since Freddy Krueger. The only good one was Kratos, and he was the only one video game crossover character in MK. It just sinked heavily to being creatively bankrupt to a high pedigree, so I might repeat; later MK titles such as 11 and 1 will be a generic and bigger Multiversus skimmed with nostalgia baiting movie characters from the 90s that everyone probably didn't care much; but with a rusty and fake Mortal Kombat coat on it.

We have Rai ass-slapped in other games before, and he was welcomed with open arms because he's one of the pillar that held MK in its infantile release (even if he's not as interesting and well-written as Shang or Egghead); but NRS tried way too hard to be like the time Midway owns the Mortal Kombat franchise in the 90s after its purchase to Warner Cucks, but failed because the fanbase wants the taste of Mortal Kombat instead of movie characters, and they doubled down. Things dipped after Midway went bankrupt and Tobias left, rendering the franchise washed out completely from oldfags (excluding the Sub-Zero skin from Fortnite.).

Now, onto the dialogue idea:
Raiden vs Dark Raiden (Final story - Arcade mode - not Shao Kahn/Onaga/Shinnok) - instead of short banters, we have long Melty Blood-esque pre-battle banters.

Raiden: (Mmn. So, he's already here? Suppose I have no choice then.)
Nn. You have come this far to still long last farther than Shinnok and his henchmen does.
To this point on the meadow, you have had mine footsteps do a heel-turn, then, this is the end of the journey, yes?

Dark Raiden: Affirmative. Whatever goals you pursue, whatever intention you have. Even if I wish I need not to fight; then I heed mine agreement. It is the end of the road.
> given that he's a sentient and a fully human twin personality of Raiden, he is Raiden's stray remains of his enigmatic, grim. cold, apathetic, rude, moody, heartless, and highly brooding personality manifested into a new form, completely altered, sharing the same birthday, physical body age, immortality, wisdom, mentality, subconsience/conscience, connection to the Root since formation of their body billions years ago; and after Shinnok's corruption wore off him eons ago after his first self-control defeat against him to purely out of brotherly instinct.

Raiden: Then very well. To keep things short.
...Whatever it is, this night on this empty blue field is splendid like the moon itself. I could see the essence of your tainted flesh and eyes from the Jinsei easily... Agree with me, should this will be a very good opportunity for a simple little spar lesson to test our strength?

Dark Raiden: Heh. You're more dangerous than before and how you look, then I suppose, I came to an agreement with your move. Good evening. There is no little mind game to have a short introduction.

Raiden: Tch. Really. It's a pain in the ass to just know your origins. I don't need to know who the fuck are you again, nor your lack of servitude to Shinnok, or even if you're evil or not. But, we all came all way through this meadow without learning our identicality?

Dark Raiden: You're natural about your very own hidden apathy, don't you? That alone shows how much of a resilient motherfucker you are. I came all way from the other fucking realm with the same reason as you, heh. Hehe....Neither out of order for the Blunder Gods, nor even the purpose to fight for Earthrealm's existence and bring order to all realm.

Raiden: Aha! Then you are right in why I came all way in! Merely our instincts to fight for instincts, and no more shit, yes. It is destined to happen once in every three blue moons to caught up to you. So that I can strip your entire godhood, rip your bones' peristeum thoroughly, and flay your skin, rip every single nerves and your own heart until you don't exist for eternity! So that this won't happen again! *Partially widened eyes, showing a slightly crazed look.*

Tch, don't bother with mine threat. If I and you share the same purpose, responsibility, body, and power; then I suppose, you will...be my only needed prey to dismenber. *cynical look towards Dark Raiden.*

Dark Raiden: Ah-ah, I can hear that clearly from your virtuous mouth! Then, we have the same thoughts together. Heheh. I'll do the same to you, and make you cease from existence for eternity!

Both: Our demonic-like instincts is strong, and because we want to amuse replaying our fucked up fatalities...

Dark Raiden: Our mere existence, one of us will return alive to our own timeline, and you will soon be...

Raiden: *Out-of-character malignant chuckle* Exterminated and cease from existence as a whole!

Note: Whilst outside of the final boss, Raiden is the more compassionate, nice, wise, knowledgeable and devoted to the will to protect Earthrealm and humanity to the more cynical and protective to Earthrealm in a twisted and apathetic, bored manner; but he hides his highly sadistic instincts to flay an immortal and other sorts of threat in a very violent and animalistic manner very well, only he will show it if that is the threat he's going to kill today. Even if he's a really nice, benevolent god who tends to be roughly cynical, sardonic and have a snarky attitude, and a unpalatable sense of humor; Raiden also shown to hated himself and the deaths he caused for innocent people because he experienced multiple inevitable despair event horizons before the declaration of his victory against Blaze and annihilated Shao Kahn and reshaping of the entire timeline. Morality is shown within his entire life and duty to protect Earthrealm and keep the realms in order, even if he greatly fears losing Fujin.

Raiden has a very human perception, differing from whichever is good, or evil; reading one's mind spiritually without them knowing at all to knew how to act accordingly. It's two decision: "It is to trust those who show good intentions, to contribute to the good cause, to devote into protecting Earthrealm with him.", or "If it is the insolence of Shao Kahn/Onaga/Shinnok/Duo Sorcerers, a dangerous threat to disrupt order and alter Earthrealm to the worst, to shape the timeline in their own amusement, and to harm his closest human friends, allies and so on." Even so, Raiden can "still work with evil" bedgrudgingly. His profanity stems from socializing classes with Johnny Cage, and adapts it very quickly to make him more "tough and threatening".

- If so, I don't care much, Sorcerer. I just want things to end as fast as possible, so that I wouldn't fry the living fuck out of you if you draw the line of our co-operation. (to Shang Tsung - [barely tolerable])
- Mighty? What even is mighty about you, Onaga? All I see was my Doujigiri and Tonbokiri (named his bo staff after the legendary spear. In fact, it's also the real Tonbokiri concealed as a ethereal staff. Frequently fuels it with lightning and kick it to his enemy with intense force on aerial, causing a shock explosion and electrocution.) hunger to strip your heart and feed your lesion and body parts to the Jinsei! (to Onaga - [threat to the entire realms] *The Jinsei feeds on the malignant, and gets stronger and purified them swiftly to assist in better healing and resurrection rates.)

Dark Raiden is the opposite, openly showing his cynicism, and merely alone live a life of hidden grief, self-hatred, self-abuse; and an uncertain sense of living and negotiate with strangely enough patience, but may backstab you later if you're evil. Also has a strangely animalistic, yet humane perception at the same time; but mostly animalistic, living through cynicism, and kill evil if he wants to, out of boredom. Purely out of selfishness due to a half-portion of Onaga's energy blend in with Shinnok and the tainted Jinsei. Even so, his instincts to strive to save, resurrect his own Fujin, Kung Lao and Liu Kang is very strong, regardless of his cynical attitude. He simply kill, recruit them as meat shields as a meaning to not let his beloved go way, so is his Earthrealm to prepare for its reformation.

But in the end, all Dark Raiden wished secretly for the time he won the Armageddon game was to feel the re-materialization of feeling a sense of happiness of what a normal human has; and wishes to see his kins back, even if he was at his last breath against Shao Kahn. If he loses, Shao Kahn will utilize Blaze's power and enslave the defeated Raiden to do his bidding and emotionally torment him as Blaze's power was utilized. Merely his cause to protect Earthrealm was selfishness to keep it as his toy and gather men and women into contributing for his cause to make him fearsome.

So much so, their intention to kill each other are merely one-sided boredom and no heroic, and some selfish purpose to killing themselves for entertainment, neither care whoever they are, so as long they knew themselves from faraway before they went on a mirror match. Instead of co-operating and lend the power to fuse Dark Raiden with Raiden into one Raiden again, they chose not to, even if it's not out of selfishness. In the end, only Light would like people to perceive him as a person, a normal living being more than a God of Thunder, due to Fujin's influence to assist Raiden to adapt to humanity and modern life, skyrocketing his love for nature and the people around him as well.

In the end, Raiden spared Dark Raiden, knowing that even if he has selfish purposes; let him be and complimented his formidability as a twin personality that created his own timeline without Blaze's power, due to reserve amount of Jinsei Essence and Shinnok's prana stays inside of him. He answered, and referred him as "Dark I".

Raiden: "In the end, it is fun; Dark I. But, I intend not to strip your immortality. You have such formidability, even without Blaze's power. I comply."
Dark Raiden: "Why so, Light? Was it because you are a fool to not stealing my heart and crush it? Why mercy on a foolish cynic like I myself?"

Raiden: "It is because you, your own, is managing the very realm that's created without Blaze's power. I wish I want to mutilate you into 17 pieces, but I have no ill intention to do so. Or so, my intention to kill was driven because of our natural instincts of self-hatred and boredom.
...Heh. Very amusing dancing match. But, I think time runs short. You should go now, and prepare yourself for the Armageddon of your own timeline."
Dark Raiden: "...Fair enough. Even if I don't care what you objectified, nor are you going to morally reflect on my cause for ends meet on my Earthrealm, you reflect upon my fool's errand to ready. Then, if I meet you again *smirks*, let's fight once more, but bloodier and more violent than before. Until then..."

Both: "Farewell."

Raiden: "Again, hehe. It was fun."
Dark Raiden: "So is my thoughts. Very well, see you in three moons, or after I gain what I intend to strive for."

this is legit embarrasing
Isn't this basically the same formula of guest characters as the last game? Like down to the fact that it's another Terminator character.
It's not even about MK anymore. It's whatever flavor of the month bullshit and member berries nostalgia bait.
This was said a while ago but both Omni Man and Homelander fill the same role in the game as they're the Evil Superman Character. In their respective series' they are vastly different characters of course but there is no reason why both of them should be in MK1 at the same time.

  • Agree
Reactions: The Nothingness
nostalgia baiting movie characters from the 90s

Funny thing is, most normie MK fans (that never played anything pre MK9, IF that really) dont really care for the movie beyond maybe the memes it spawned. If you ask anything about the plot to them, they wont be able to answer. Thats because either they werent there during "MK fever" or they actively looked down on MK until rather recently until it was mainstream to like it.

You do not hate normies enough
We have Rai ass-slapped in other games before, and he was welcomed with open arms because he's one of the pillar that held MK in its infantile release (even if he's not as interesting and well-written as Shang or Egghead); but NRS tried way too hard to be like the time Midway owns the Mortal Kombat franchise in the 90s after its purchase to Warner Cucks, but failed because the fanbase wants the taste of Mortal Kombat instead of movie characters, and they doubled down. The guest characters thing was a gimmick that just wasnt meant to last in my opinion. Seeing Krueger (bothers me its the remake one and not Englandi but I digress) and Kratos was neat, then other horror icons and then 80's icons but what happens when you run out of characters? You cant stop now because it became a tradition so what will ya do? Your choices are either stopping or start going into whatevers popular (which will almost never fit with MK).

It was on borrowed time.
Original Bo Rai Cho would've been better.

Not sure why Liu Kang replaced his master with that old lady you would throw at your foe in the Outworld market level in MKX (and get a twisted laughter when the player 2 wasnt expecting) but 'lright
Isn't this basically the same formula of guest characters as the last game? Like down to the fact that it's another Terminator character.

One that makes no sense to be here. He isnt an anti-hero and not even a 80's icon (more akin to a 90's one) and he doesnt even fucking bleed.

If anything, nearly nothing outside of intense fire, ice, eletricity and acid could kill the T-1000. Hell, most fatalities wouldnt kill it as its nanobots would mostly remain intact.

It just wasnt a good pick in my opinion. It would have been best to have maybe a T-1000 inspired original character if they really wanted a "gooey" shapeshifter type.

It literally comes down to "popularity".
