Did a brief search and couldn't find a MK thread... which kind of bewilders me considering all the edgelords we got, but here we are.

Mortal Kombat 11 announced and gameplay was revealed earlier this week.

Please share your thoughts on MK11, the games, how they turned you into a walking murder machine, and all other MK spergeries... except your Mileena porn. No one needs that shit.

I’m kind of partial to Liu Kang’s fighting style. It’s easy to pick up, and is pretty versatile.

He’s sort of the Mario of the franchise like in SSB. The vanilla mascot that is well-rounded, but deep down, we all know the most popular fighter is sub zero.

I am curious how they are going to pull off this story when literally most of the roster is dead.

Just watched MK11 live with @Dink Smallwood!
Holy shit! Skarlet is awesome!

It didn't stop them before with Armageddon and X.

What I'm curious about though is that we haven't seen any footage of the characters that debuted in X. I don't doubt they'll be in the game, but even the story glimpses we've seen don't have them but still have (good?) Liu Kang and Kung Lao.

I liked 1. 2 was kinda silly and I dropped the series.

I still want Glacier vs Pentagon Jr for the ultimate showdown of Mortal Kombat Ninja wrestlers.

From what it sounds like, time travel is going to be playing a big part of the story, which essentially just means they can retcon stuff they didn't like in the last couple of games, and bring back characters they've killed off, hence why we got characters like Baraka back.... and Shao Khan... as a pre-order...yay.

And I'm guessing they'll be bringing back characters like Cassie back since fans seemed to like her (maybe D'vorah? Not sure if people liked her, but at least she was unique), but I doubt a lot of them will be showing up like... honestly I can't remember their names... Whipboy, Not Green Arrow.

One of my main concerns with this game is the expanded roster. With MKXL they threw in characters like Leatherface and Jason Voorhees instead of, y'know, actual MK characters like Kabal or Rain or Baraka (the latter two actually in the game files). Same thing with Injustice 2 - instead of giving players characters like Plastic Man or Beast Boy, we get Hellboy and Ninja Turtles. I'm worried that with their expansion pass (and it's NetherRealm and WB, you know it's going to exist) we're going to be getting characters like Pennywise the Clown or the Nun.

I just want them to bring back older characters. Apparently Mavado from Deadly Alliance is just up and dead for some reason and shit like that drives me up the wall. The team did an excellent job reinventing the majority of the cast of 1,2, and 3 when MK9 dropped and they just got rid of and stopped doing that shit all together.

Moloch and Drahmin, Ashra, Nitara, Sareena, etc...it's a little disappointing that Netherrealm doesn't seem interested in reimagining these characters that have so much potential for the series. But hey, movie tie-in villains are more important I guess.

We'll see what happens; Still excited despite my complaints. Also, we time travel up in this bitch motherfuckers, yee-haw.

Hoping they put in the Doomslayer from DOOM Eternal. He would fit well in the game.

I just want better animation quality and more comptent fighting game design in general, the MK team needs to learn about fucking key frames, key poses and how not to make their characters look like bumbling retards that over punch and throw themselves off balance every single time they move.

Almost every other fighting game has this down why can't MK?

Honestly I find Mortal Kombat's gameplay to get old fast (but it's great for parties just the same). It almost seems quaint that it got notorious for its violence.

I'm so glad they brought back Skarlet. Favorite from MK9.

BRING BACK TACO TITAN AND KABAL

Did they mean Mortal Kombat II? Because I'm pretty sure there are only two of them.

The animation and appearances of the characters are off and I hope they get polished before release.
The face-ripping was quite extreme, I hope no one was looking over my shoulder when that was on screen.
I'm glad that Sonya and Kung Lao is in at least, just gotta wait on the status of my other favourites.
Contrary to the many posts, I don't care for Scarlet, she's kinda just...there. I'm not a fan so her return means nothing to me.
