Multiple people shot, unexploded devices found at NYC train station

NEW YORK (AP) — Multiple people were shot Tuesday morning at a subway station in Brooklyn, New York, the city fire department said.

Fire personnel responding to reports of smoke at the 36th Street station in the Sunset Park neighborhood found multiple people shot and undetonated devices, a New York City Fire Department spokesperson said.

According to a law enforcement source briefed on the investigation, preliminary information indicated a suspect was dressed in construction attire.

A photo from the scene showed people tending to bloodied passengers lying on the floor of the station.

Further details were not immediately available. New York City police said they were responding to reports of people wounded either by gunfire or an explosion.

Trains servicing that station were delayed during the morning rush hour.

I think it makes sense if the station is in a predominately Asian neighborhood. Also a subway station is a good spot for an attack like this, lots of people but also plenty of getaway opportunities. Which apparently worked out since the suspect is still at large.

Sounds like it was just a few shots fired and not an extended rampage, unless someone happened to be recording something else at the time it’s unlikely they could’ve whipped out their phone in time to capture the 5-10 seconds of action.

I mean unless the article I read was wrong, 13 were shot so that's a full clip without missing a single shot, or more likely multiple clips.

If it just happened, then it going to take time for the cops to review the recordings, and whether or not it will be released to the public. Remember the one cop shooting where they restriced the viewing of the body camera footage that exonerated the guy to where you could only view it if you went in person to a specific place and went in a room and could view it personally? If this doesn't fit the narrative, expect the footage to be suppressed and only very general information given out "assumed male, 5'5", wearing light pants, dark shirt, fluorescent vest last seen ___. Please report if you've seen this person"- level of description.
