Music instruments you find curious or interesting

I love the theremin, used for the spooky 'oooooooo' sound in cheesy 50's horror and sci-fi movies.

I love that sound, I've been told that each recording is unique because the tones and sounds depend on the time place and space it's recorded in you can get close but never perfectly the same.

When my neice was 2 "She" got me a gift card to a sci-fi shop (it was her mum) but I got a model UFO abducting a Cow that played the Oooooeeeooooooo sound and some others, I'm going to put it together with her when she's older and give her some of the UFO books I had at that age.

Here's the nyckelharpa, a sort of violin thing with keys and drone strings. I haven't looked into buying one of these because I'm scared to find out what the price would be, but it seems like the perfect thing for those of us who wish we could play the violin but can't figure out how to use a fretless neck.

The contrabass saxophone has always seemed very interesting to me.

As someone who used to play alto saxophone in school. I was always intrigued by the different saxophones like the soprano, baritone, bass, and obviously the contra bass saxophone. I’ve wanted to play baritone saxophone but they’re expensive. (As with most woodwind instruments)

I've always wanted a bubul tarang to play with, but the build quality of the more affordable ones is fairly low, so I might as well build my own. I just never quite feel the inspiration needed to do so.

The gong is easily the most majestic and intimidating of all instruments. there is something incredibly divine and powerful about it.
It sounds like a device to channel the power of ancient gods.
