Music So Bad It's Awesome

Forgot about this gem:

Every time I heard that intro on the radio, I literally jumped. It didn't help that my local country station had an afternoon DJ who loved to crack terrible jokes, and then play this song as a "rimshot" of sorts.

Oh yeah, and the incessant snickering at the title, because part of me will always be 14.

So dumb and cheesy. But it fits the game lol

Like most of his songs, it's a Weird-Al-esque 'song parody'. Most of his songs are him singing poorly over instrumental MIDIs of pop songs.

The lyrics are usually about television, video games, his celebrity crushes, or sex jokes.

David Tanny would probably be a lolcow himself, if he was more active these days.

I think we even had a thread on Tanny once. Kind of disheartened he's not that active anymore.

Friendly reminder he's the guy behind "Maniac".

There was a Tanny thread at one point, I don't remember if I read the full thing. Might have to go check it out. I remember he was running some top funny music chart for a while and he was always stuffing the top ten with his own garbage. This piece of shit was #1 for a full year, even beating Weird Al's White and Nerdy.
Think he ended up getting booted from the site and was never again seen on that chart.

If I ever start my own game development company, I'll immediately commission my own cheesy, shitball vanity theme song:

Have a listen to this stinker from 2005 or thereabouts.

A little bird (well, a YouTube commentator) claims that his real name is Samuel Albert Port. I browsed over to his Facebook page and I'm moderately convinced. The eyebrows clinch it. I can only hope he cringes when he thinks of this.

The Beach Boys, sounding like a parody of The Beach Boys, singing a song to advertise a Barbie doll in 1987.
Also featuring writing and production credits from Dr. Eugene Landy, Brian Wilson's psychiatrist!

Blue Thunder by Galaxie 500 is a genuinely great song all by itself, but an alternate mix adding loud, jarring saxophone makes it utterly hilarious to listen to:
