My pet ferret is on the verge of death and I need a way to cope. - please help

In the wake of somebody's death, I was always under the opinion that celebrating their legacy and the good memories you made with them is more important than grieving. I mean, think about, if you died, would you want all your friends and loved ones to be sad? Of course not. I suppose that goes the same for your little Ferret there.

Obviously, if you're really torn up about it you shouldn't force yourself to be happy. It's ok to be sad sometimes.
