The story is she fell on a patch of black ice, which Nader finds hilarious. They didn't go to the hospital because Debbie doesn't want to wait to be seen, and Nader doesn't believe anything is broken and says they wouldn't even take an x-ray, so going to the hospital would be pointless. Nader says the cut is from her bone, which she shudders at remembering. I don't know if this means bone was exposed or not. Nader wanted to stitch it himself but she wouldn't let him.

Him high as fuck playing with knives the day of/day before doesn't bode well.

All sidewalks and roadways are clear of snow, ice and black ice where she lives. The last week's weather has been hovering around 0C (32F) with no precipitation. The only remaining snow is currently piled in big mounds in parking lots. This week the city sent out street sweepers to start to collect the left-over salt, sand and gravel grit that's used all winter long on roads and sidewalks. People are out and about in running shoes and light jackets--jogging, riding bikes, tooling around on electric scooters.
Big Dees didn't fall on black ice.

This is a sad but expected outcome of this nightmare for DD (not the worst outcome tho....yet). No matter what you think about her active engagement and participation in this debacle, no one wants this outcome, even if they're involved in BDSM. The haunted look in her eyes is evidence that her life with Nader is shit (no duh!) As someone earlier has said, Nader is a demon. Like Chantal, he ruins the lives of anyone he comes into contact with. DD has willingly entered into his life and she will most likely continue with it until it kills her or he is jailed.

It's still a sad thing.

What's with people abusing the ER system? If she's willing to do nothing sitting at home about it, just go to a clinic and get an x-ray requisition with the free Canadian healthcare.

Hella sus though. Probably a stabibi wound. Or she fell down doing some crackhead bullshit. If bone was actually showing she'd be at risk of going septic.
