Pure guess: I have the feeling the victim isn't DD. She'd do anything to get him out of charges if she was the victim, but I'm not getting the feeling that she has any power over this. She's trying too hard to act vague and super casual.
She and Nader like to swing with drug addict women, and he cons money out of women. Didn't DD even help him with some of his online blackmailing of women over video sex recordings?
He'd be perfectly willing to terrorize a vulnerable woman while refusing to let her leave whereever they were, which would be forcible confinement. Picture the Sams Bar Lounge video but in some woman's house or a trap house. He probably went on a meth bender and DD wasn't able to stop him from crossing a bunch of lines.
I hope the fact that she's legally married to him means she's got some financial exposure here. He's not destitute now that he and his wife have a condo and a household income. I don't know about Canada's legal system, but hopefully she'll have to put up some money or sign financing agreements for his legal costs.
