Name a game you hate but everyone else loves - Because you have opinions too <3

Fair enough.
Though what about RDR got you curious, if you weren't impressed from the developer's signature IP? Kinda weird you even gravitated to it for me.
I like westerns, which are a pretty rare breed in gaming, and I remembered Red Dead Revolver being fun. Also oddly have no interest in RDR2.

And to be fair I've liked other Rockstar Games like LA Noire, Midnight Club, etc.

People still legitimately defend ME3, DA2, and DA:I so I'm still 2/5 in my proselytization of the average consumer against over-hyped garbage.

Actually I have a better answer now that I think of it: Bioshock infinite.
me3 had fun gameplay atleast unlike da2 and Dai

Well damn, already got beaten to Skyrim.

Overwatch. Blizzard's incompetently out-of-touch dev team (that has been long separated from the veterans who left ages ago) breaks the game every month and the base game is already a glorified MOBA because of its reliance on skill rotation and counters. It also lacks any more casual modes to make it as appealing as something like Team Fortress 2.

Even if you like the game as it is you still have to deal with the cancer that is the community and Blizzard's insistence on virtue signal politics that make the whole thing a massive Tumblr-shipping trash heap. Blizzard used to write detailed lore for the biggest MMO of all time, now they write about how another one of the characters was actually gay all along because I guess J.K. Rowling started ghost-writing somewhere along the line.
Overwatch wasn´t even good at release it was a trash heap of game which couldn´t decide if it wanted to be a competive shooter or a casual shooter. Personal skill is almost irrelevant as long as you have good comunication and sync. There is no skilled based movment system or much mechanical skill at all. If you look at their big leauge most of the meta chars aint even capable of scoring headshots/critical hits. For casual play it doesn´t have the required gamemodes to be fun. The only reason it got popular was blizzard polish

Rainbow Six Siege. They tell you, that it is about teamwork, reasonable use of your abilities and tactics. In reality it is about learning places, where you can punch a hole in a wall, and camping until it goes the same color as the enemy. Balance gets fucked all the time and because developers promise 100 operatives, it's going to get fucked even more. Also, community has so many elitists, that it can give DOTA2 a run for it's money.
"Learning places/callouts" have a place in each tactical fps. Murderholes are only used in lowerlevel ranked play. Anchoring is not in the meta anymore since about 2 years ago. Balance, ubisfot gonna ubisoft. Did you try ranked play? there where the game really shines.

I can´t stand battelfield 1 or witcher 3

At least I got a good laugh when the competitive scene started and even casters stared fucking bored as the teams were always completely identical (because why would you play with any other team composition when skill is irrelevant?)

I generally don't like "realistic" (so something like Halo is exempt from this) military FPS because they all look the same. Tell me why I should care about "this" game over "that" or "those"? I make an exception with CS because of grandfather clause but credit given where it's due, some youtubers manage to make CoD look fun again.

I don't hate it by any means but I couldn't really get into it, it's not even an old game thing since I love other games from that era.
Agreed 100%. How Nintendo managed to make an open world with so much nothing in it is shocking. You can leave Deku Village at the beginning of the game and run in one of a number of directions for 2-3 minutes and hit nothing of interest.

Meanwhile go back one game to LTTP and every screen has things to do and interact with and investigate. That game got a huge pass for being the first 3D Zelda.

Maybe that's why it feels they stepped up the pace on hero creation.

God of War 2018 is the DmC: DmC of the series, it's only loved by people who've never played a real God of War game, it's bland, boring, up it's own fucking ass, bloated to the brim with useless side shit and some of the longest, most boring cutscenes I've ever fucking seen and it's combat is so bad, I think I blacked out and woke up after every fight. Also, Nobody gives a fuck that Kratos had a new little cumsprout and a wife. Giving him that to try to make him "likable" felt like such a fucking corporate, design by numbers move.

Compare it to something like cs. Cs is non flashy but their is so much skill going under the hood.
Here we have a high mechanicly skilled player yet he doesn´t dominate the scene, why? Because he has too poor gamesense and is too focused on looking flashy for the viewers.
Just compare ow to cs.

Mech
Pistol skill in cs is of the utmost importance as pistol rounds often deicde the game, a good pistolplayer can aslo harm the economy of the enemy team if they get the upperhand.
Movment to a smaller degree compared to the old games. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FIbRQwLX--A
grenade what differentiate a pro from a noob, if you look at pro teams the pracitce nade throws on comp maps like 3 hours a day to get them right.
Recoil management has turned som people from nobodys to legends https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S4z2N00-axM
Awping, turn that oneshot rifle to a godmode gun. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xEizhlTocxI
Gamesense, to know whats going on and to know where its likely for players to be.
Roaming, to exploit your gamesense to hit the enmey where they least expect it.

Postioning, recoil, when to rotate, when to plant and when to go for a defuse. Which weapon for which situation.

IGL (Ingameleader/stratcaller)
Postioning is constantly chaning depending on enemy setup, weapons you have available and what map your playing allowing cs to stay quite fresh.
Should we go for a buy or eco round? Risk it all for the chance of the enemy not excepting a push or play it safe.
What strats do the enemy team usally use? How many people should be on what site?
To get in to the heads of the enemy are they thinking outside the box or are they doing conventional strats.

A non skilled mechanical player once made a comback to the top 10 with a ragtag team just beaucse he was such a godlike igl.

Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep.

It effectively spelled the beginning of KH's decline as a video game and not a cutscene simulator. KH2 may not have been perfect, but with FM's improvements and additional content with Critical Mode, it was a very good action RPG with solid combat even if it was a little simplistic at times. BBS was even more of a button masher as basic attacks sucked terribly and sometimes could get you hit/killed for using them, bosses could just randomly tell you to go fuck yourself (See Mysterious Figure), bad game balancing as most commands you could use sucked, and Terra was actually not balanced for BBS' boss design because his dodge ability doesn't let you have infinite I-frames by mashing the square button like Ventus and Aqua's dodge ability.

The characters introduced were a waste of time even when we got KH3. Beyond Xehanort, no one important was introduced and Xehanort didn't even need to be introduced this way or involve Terra, Ventus, Aqua, or Eraqus at all. What an absolute waste of these characters and a waste of a game. A lot of design problems would plague future KH games because people rated this game's combat better than KH2 because somehow mashing triangle to do any notable damage ever and mash square to I-frame through everything is dramatically better than "the mash Triangle and X to win" mentality KH2 left even though FM had super bosses that would push your shit in if you tried just mashing X especially on Critical Mode, but we'll pretend those don't exist even years after we can actually play KH2FM in full English. Even the hardest fights in BBS boils down to dodge roll until you get an opening, press a couple of commands, cure if you need to cure because curaga is almost always up when you need it, and repeat until you win.

An example of how no one play tested BBS with Terra especially in Critical Mode, note that Ventus and Aqua can basically mash square vs this bullshit and never take damage so you can attack during the limited times it is safe to whenever they want.

Why on Earth would you need infinite i-frames in any game unless you were absolute shit garbage

Because bosses in BBS are very random, sporadic, and can just ignore your attacks sometimes to respond with random counter attacks. Guarding doesn't always respond well to these counter attacks and some attacks guard just doesn't work at all, so i-frames are better to safely get through this random nonsense. The real answer is the bosses weren't well designed or thought through at all, so they gave 2/3 characters access to infinite i frame dodge rolling mash to just ignore these problems while the remaining one just can get bodied randomly.

Fallout 3/NV. My first non-isometric fallout game was 4, and the better shooting mechanics in it spoiled me. I know there's people who say to just do a different build, but that doesn't really end up addressing the main problem: Combat in those games sucks. The story, writing, and literally everything else short of graphics and combat is better in FONV and to a lesser extent, FO3, but in the end, I can't bring myself to finish either of them.

I wouldn't say I hate it, but Jesus Christ people need to shut the fuck up about Chrono Trigger already. It's a good game for sure, it's not "ZOMG!!! BEST RPG EBBER!!!" You can tell who hasn't really dipped their toe into the rpg pool if they keep sperging about this game, or FFVII

Pretty much any game that goes viral nowadays, most of the time it's either a glorified indie walking simulator or a "Youtuber bait" horror game with 20 minutes worth of gameplay

I disagree, 358/2 Days started the demise, BBS continued it.
I agree mostly about the gameplay, I played through it on Critical and you can smash the game by mashing Thunder Surge and Magnega. I will say however, BBS had far better level design than 3D, which bored me to death with it's empty ass worlds with literally nothing in them.

The plot was pretty bad yeah, it just seemed like Nomura wanting to go full M. Night Shyamalan with more dumb twists. Especially since KH2 wrapped everything up in a neat bow while setting the stage for an actually good sequel that will never come out. Nomura just has an autistic aversion to finishing anything, which is why the series that should have ended 10 years ago is still going and even though the NORT went to heaven with his boyfriend we'll still have more garbage games.

I also find it funny how people think the plot is so good and especially praise Aqua's character and shit on Terra when Aqua was a retard and Terra was just doing what made sense, see the screencap.

To go off on a spergy tangent about Kingdum Hearts, though it is worth remembering for historical reasons that after KH2FM the entire production team for Kingdom Hearts changed entirely to make handhelds which are the same people who made KH3. The ones who made KH1 and KH2 were making FF13 and FF15 I believe at the time all of these spin offs and KH3 were happening.

Days was a weird spin off that didn't have very lasting impact on the series kind of like COM beyond COM's plot relevance, the way COM plays didn't impact KH2 it was just a weird spin off gameplay wise. Most people who autistically play KH games for the actual gameplay, have noticed that BBS started the overall trend to KH3. 3D and 0.2 (these names are fucking weird) had very similar gameplay and encounter design, enemies are hard to control unless you spam magic, physical attacks are completely awful with really long animations that get you killed and keep you in the air too long so you get hit, and overall physical based attacks aren't useful so the best options are to roll around and spam magic in crowd situations.

If you try to do anything else you'll get ganged up on and smashed on Critical mode if you get unlucky. BBS was Magnet + thunder city, like KH2FM only KH2FM wasn't as spammable without Stitch summoned and using your physical combos was still a valid option. 3D had balloon spam which worked on everything. 0.2 from what I remembered just had very bad enemy design as they could just snipe you in the back from across the room while you flail around with physicals, so magic was the best option for crowds and crit cut your mp in half for some dumb reason. 0.2 had the infamous heartless tower boss that no one likes and 3D's bosses are all pretty bad, especially the "remake" of Mysterious Figure from BBS. KH3 fixed some things from what I've seen, but it is still a flash over substance game, I don't even want to play KH3 honestly I just know I won't like it and the story is an insult more then it already was I knew I would not like it and I was still disappointed.

I thought Aqua had a chance to be a good character, but Aqua jobbed so damn hard in KH3 that BBS is even more insultingly bad from a plot stand point. Terra's problem is Xehanort is so comically obviously evil that Terra looks like an idiot talking to him, it is more a reflection on Xehanort being badly used and written alongside Terra's VA making it impossible to give a shit about his plight. Freaking TTS meme videos make Terra look more sympathetic. Aqua you can sort of give a shit based on her actions and the amount of cleaning up she had to do, but her VA is also trash and her other appearances suck so it doesn't matter anymore.

I don't think highly of KH1 personally, I played 2 first and 1 feels much slower after playing 2 so I can't say I've looked for ones like KH1. Action rpgs are just uncommon in general now that I think about it, at least ones like KH which feel like a hack and slash like DMC.

I know Granblue Fantasy: Relink is coming out sometime next year or late this year for PS4, which looks pretty good and might be more aligned with what you want with it having more rpg elements that I've seen while still being an action game. Granblue Relink is based off the gacha Granblue Fantasy, but Relink is made to be played by basically anyone so you can ignore that part completely and be just fine.

Here's the latest preview video of actual gameplay from Dec 2018, it will be in english (just subtitles or full english voice acting I have no idea) and be released globally, though it is more anime than KH so keep that in mind if that is of no interest to you.
