Name a game you hate but everyone else loves - Because you have opinions too <3

Bioshock, everyone praises its story but the gameplay is a mess imo, also the last part reducing your max HP gradually bc of MUH PSYCHOLOGY it's pure bullshit.

Yes. The story is nothing that deep. It's like Ayn Rand as interpreted by an edgelord teenager.

Borderlands, I honestly think it tried way too hard to be funny, and the floaty physics also put me off.

Also, y'know, BL3 being an epic exclusive because muh Tencent money.

Sonic Adventure 2 and Sonic Heroes. I used to love those games back in the day, but after playing some of the other Sonic games, just realized how overhyped and bad it was.

Newer Final Fantasy games. I.E Final Fantasy XV. I found it boring and a snooze fest. I am glad I did buy it at a discount new, but I never felt so bored playing a game. It's sad, because I use to like the series back in the 16 and 32 bit days and played portions of FFX.

Octopath and Tales of series won me over and they feel more fun to play.

Sonic Adventure 2 and Sonic Heroes. I used to love those games back in the day, but after playing some of the other Sonic games, just realized how overhyped and bad it was.

I liked Sonic Adventure 2. I only played the GC version, though. I was more for the Advanced games than Adventure. Heroes was okay? I remember having more fun in multiplayer mode than the main game.

Sonic Heros was one of the four Gamecube Games we actually owned for a while, so we were fine with it. And Sonic Adventure 2 has Chao Garden, so it's a great game.

I dunno if I agree with this, I really liked the gameplay specifically because of how it rewards challenge runthroughs. My favorite being (no hack, wrench only)
This requires heavy plasmid use and very stingy ADAM use because Big Daddies are very challenging to fight for most of the game. It's clear the developers planned around players playing this way due to similar runthroughs in System Shock 1 and 2 existing prior to Bioshock. A good example is if you photograph Houdini splicers the player can unlock a plasmid where you can turn invisible if you stand still. Combine this with several others like one where enemies who attack the player in melee get damaged with Electro Bolt and it becomes surprisingly viable. It's similar to Fable where the gameplay is nothing special until you try to add restrictions onto yourself to make it more enjoyable.

I don't really agree with this. Bioshock has an enormous amount of worldbuilding that picks apart objectivism and anarcho-capitalism. It's mostly through the games many radio messages. Like they go into the difficulties in building the city underwater and how this clashes with Ryan's philosophy. One of my favorite messages is where one of the city's engineers talks about how because they're so far underwater they have to regularly heat the pipes, or else they burst due to the cold ocean water. Which can cause flooding. And Ryan refuses to heat everyone's pipes because >muh taxes. Another example is how certain districts in Rapture are based on practical use. Like Arcadia is explicitly there just to provide oxygen underwater, which solves the question of how they have oxygen underwater if they don't have massive oxygen tanks. Arcadia also leads to one of the best radio messages where Ryan describes having a forest on land that was seized by the government and turned into a park against his will. And when this happened he burned it to the ground. Saying "God didn't build this Arcadia, I did".

If you compare this with Bioshock Infinite for example the game does very little to explain how they built the floating city or how any of it works. It's just there for aesthetic purposes.

i replayed adventure 2 and heroes a few months back (even 100% heroes beacuse why not?). while the games have not aged the best, i still find some enjoyment out of them but i understand other people not liking these games.

All the Souls games are boring garbage for people that want to signal to the other neckbeards how hardcore they are
Yet they're not hardcore enough to play roguelikes where they have to completely start over if they don't "git gud". Pussies.
Ocarina of Time
I don't hate it by any means but I couldn't really get into it, it's not even an old game thing since I love other games from that era.
I played that for the first time recently, I was enjoying it until I got to the Garudo desert and had to play a stealth section. The camera was so cumbersome which resulted in me getting caught so many times I just ragequit the game and never finished it.

Sonic games suck. It's a game about going fast, but it punishes you for going fast because it never gives you enough time to react to upcoming dangers when you're full-speed, sometimes you even outrun the fucking camera so you LITERALLY can't see the obstacle you're about to run into. Who the fuck thought that was a good idea? The music's awesome though.

Anyone who claims to love that game, I'm guessing that's the first Final Fantasy they've played. If they defend that fucking laugh on the other hand, never speak to them again.
To this day it's the only final fantasy game I've played, I like it for all the wrong reasons lol.
I came here to laugh at you.

You're proving my point somewhat if it's the only one.

Feel free to block me for this.

Is this video going to make that laugh seem any less autistic? Because I'm not subjecting myself to that laugh otherwise.

I enjoy FFX. My first FF was the original NES cart. I've played all the previous games in the series before I played X.

The laugh is supposed to be awkward and forced because it is forced. It's not natural because he's trying to make himself laugh after the revelation that Auron had just given him about Sin. Both him and Yuna start laughing for real after acknowledging how cringy trying to force it was, and that time it sounds natural. It's really sad how many people can't seem to figure this out.

Fallout New Vegas. I tried several times to get into it and every time I was just so bored. The landscape isn't interesting to look at. Which is sad for a game that just felt like any other standard Bethesda Fallout 3/Skyrim and onward open world game that should have focused more on making them good rather than big. Go ahead and make a big open world, but for fuck sake, fill it with interesting characters that I give a shit about. Give a story quest line that someone would actually want to follow. Instead of ones most people ignore completely because who the fuck cares, it's boring compared to hitting or shooting things. Which is another point. THE COMBAT FUCKING SUCKS AND IS SO BORING. The VATS system. OH MY GOD.

The Borderlands series. It's so grindy which wouldn't be so bad if the gameplay didn't somehow make me feel nausicious. No idea why. Some of the dialogue is peak 2010-2013 lol so randon gamer humour. It all just feels really bland and mind numbing.

a child could write Doki Doki Literature Club and probably come up with a more interesting product just because it'd most likely have some original ideas in it
3 hours of by the book anime tropes and then "omg what if they just killed themselves wouldn't that be dark and epic lmao" to fuck with the waifu crowd's expectations and make them think it's deep
add some baby's first scary creepypasta elements with a new game + concept stolen from Nier and apparently you get something weebs will defend to the death just because you made an anime girl they've seen before in their preferred color scheme and hair length
