No, the CR30 is not built off of White Knight, it's built off the same design that jumpstarted the whole angle printing vs the BlackBelt, PrntrBelt, and other top down 3d printers by a man named Bill Steele.
White Knight did a much better job of describing, documenting, and detailing the process that Bill Steel came up with. Karl then open sourced all his fixes and updates and published it online. Karl Brown (WhiteKnight), the guy who runs the Marlin code repo, and Bill Steele all were paid(AS IN $$$) consultants to this project.
Supermaker Naomi Wu answered our questions about the upcoming Creality CR-30 belt 3D printer.

Karl showed the technology could work, Naomi took the designs Creality and showed it could be made profitably (plus speaking chinese), and the original designer said "It's 1/10 the price of the cocksuckers who do it today and hold the market for ransom". All in all everyone is profiting from this venture and comes out ahead and we finally get a belt fed printer that doesn't cost us thousands.
I backed the KS for several CR30s, and the 3d printing community has been extremely vocal in holding creality to the fire for shit parts, shit designs, and obvious design flaws. Naomi went hard into creality for the CR6 fuckup to get folks their money and printers and many in the community did as well,. That's why the CR30 KS didn't break the $5M number like Creality wanted, cause the shitty chinese company didn't understand that the community was onto their shenanigans and wasn't going to take it again.
The simps think her tits get her a free pass from time to time but she does know her stuff in some aspects of the engineering world. She's not a mechanical engineer by any stretch of the means but like many in the 3d printing community a "shade tree mechanic" but with a nice rack and pinion setup.
