I'm guessing most of the people feeling sad for him are autists who used to enjoy watching him play games good. Uli did nothing wrong, it's been brought up twice that I can remember, and Cosmo is an absolute failure unable to change because he loves wallowing in self pity.

More or less its done by snipping a part of the vocal cords which leaves a high(er) pitch voice. BUT, your voice is often much weaker after the procedure. Many are not able to raise their voice above an average speaking voice, and some more are basically reduced to a whisper.
