I think he's just a narcissist tbh. I think the abuse and shit just feeds his ego, because he justifies it as people giving him attention (even if it's negative). He's addicted to it because it makes him feel important. He'd probably prefer positive attention but since he's a narcissist, he can't take criticism at all and feels the need to defend himself. He wants people to admire him, and anyone who doesn't is (in his mind at least) "evil".

I mean let's just look at the symptoms of NPD rofl. I'll try and think of some examples to list afterward. Some are so obvious they don't even need specifics, but still...

  • Expectations of superior treatment?
He expects personal security in exchange for attending events. He expects people to want to upload his consciousness. etc.
  • Fixated on fantasies of power, attractiveness, etc?
Well, he did troon out. And he thinks he actually resembles a woman. And he seems to think he's a genius. And... Well, you get the point.
  • Self-perception of being unique, superior, and associated with high-status people and institutions?
If anyone has seen him ranting about transhumanism, physics, etc. then you know we can check this one off. Also, once again, troon.
  • Needing continual admiration from others?
I don't think this one needs a specific example. Just look at his orbiters...
  • Sense of entitlement to special treatment and to obedience from others?
He literally expected some pharmacy worker to pay for his medication once. And when he wouldn't he sperged out to the manager. Seriously.
  • Exploitative of others to achieve personal gain?

  • Unwilling to empathize with the feelings, wishes, and needs of other people
He actually thinks that anyone who disagrees with him about nearly anything is "evil". I'd argue empathy isn't his best quality.
  • Intensely envious of others, and the belief that others are equally envious of them
Just look at some of his speedrunning behavior. This might be the only one I can't think of a specific example of (I'm sure there are many) but I know he's pulled the "you're just jealous" card a fuck-ton.

That's the odd thing about first world NEET Youtubers. They get to stay in their foetid room and play video games (or in Narcissa's case refuse to play video games) and money comes in to give them a lifestyle that's probably better than 90% of humanity over all of history - they're warm, they can afford enough food, the water they shit in is cleaner than the water someone in the third world drinks etc.

And yet they still seem resentful the system is rigged in favour of big companies and against them, forgetting that it's also rigged in favour of them and against someone in a non first world country who really has to work. Hell, even in a first world country there's a whole load of people who need to shovel shit 8+ hours a day to get enough cash to barely survive on.

This just gets weirder and weirder and weirder. Apparently the dude he's talking to while fucking his mattress is Isaac, the dude who Cosmo flew out to see a few weeks back (who threatened suicide shortly afterwards). This is at least the second time they've had phone sex on stream.

A lot of people who made YouTube money are like rockstars, celebs, or lottery winners when they go from being broke to having shitloads of cash from ad revenue or paypigs via stream donations/patreon instantly. They're suddenly flush with cash, but they have no idea on how to properly manage all this cash. This results in over the top spending sprees until their YouTube career crashes and burns, and they're having to put up with the reality of living the past few years living on money they made from making disposable YouTube videos or streaming.

That's how you end up with YouTubers angry over ad blockers or washed up internet celebs becoming champagne socialists. Just like rockstars they blew all the money they made during the peak of their careers and now that they're old and incapable of doing what brought them disposable money back in the day, they're broke again. Instead of saving up the money and maybe investing it in business ventures and whatnot, they're not only nobodies but they're also broke nobodies as well. This has already led to and will continue to lead to some crazy meltdowns all over the "internet content creator" sphere.

When Cosmo lost it and turned into Narcissa, that's when his money supply dried up hard. He was stuck living on whatever money he made from his Twitch heyday because he burnt all the bridges and viewerbase he had.
