OK I wasn't going to watch this shit, this guy is fucking boring but since this is now a thread crossover between Narcissa and Cyberdemon and highlights have already been requested I went through with it.

Jesus Christ, I was still half-asleep when I posted the highlights and I didn't even notice that but seriously, I'm not asking that anyone watches the full thing but just the first minute or so to get a sense of how terrible a speaker this dude is. Half his phrases have one or more of the following: ah, like, hm, ahn, long pause, like...

The inflection is probably just his "real woman's voice" since it's obviously deliberate and he doesn't seem to bother with his tone at all. It'd be the equivalent of OPL just speaking a few pitches higher to feign womanhood.

Cyberdemon sure likes to engage in revisionist history. Narcissa didn't go from the most beloved popular streamer to an outcast the second she announced her transition. I clearly remember after she announced the transition she still had thousands of viewers and tons of support from the community.

But she spent the next year burning every bridge she had with both friends in the community and fans. When a streamer is telling their viewers that they hate them it doesn't matter if you're trans or cis, they're gonna stop watching. Narcissa has a long history of treating fans like shit. She would also intentionally make her content unwatchable to spite the people who were there to watch gameplay. Like the sleeping on the bed streams, the streams where the room was totally pitch black and the only audio was her typing in chat, drug streams where she would laugh at the ceiling for hours. People don't want to watch that so they left, it's that simple.

Cyberdemon also says everyone thinks Narcissa is mentally ill because of "one weird video" posted 3 years ago. That's not true either. There are too many weird videos to count that clearly show something was wrong. But really all you had to do was watch a few of her streams to tell something wasn't right mentally.

Like, she was having mental breakdowns on stream every week. Most of the time completely unprovoked, like she would be playing smash bros or speedrunning botw then suddenly start alternating between sobbing and laughing every 15 seconds. Then there were the streams where she would stare into space for minutes straight making weird faces at the camera while crying/laughing.

In addition to that there were the suicide threats when she wasn't getting enough views, even calling the suicide hotline on stream and then hanging up and becoming giddy once her view numbers got up to 700. That's why people started to think there was something mentally wrong with her. It was not from one weird video posted to her youtube channel, it was literally years of disturbing behavior on stream and countless unprovoked mental breakdowns.

Cyberdemon then tries to justify this behavior by saying Narcissa was getting "thousands" of messages every day telling Narcissa to kill herself. I'm going to call bullshit here, Narcissa was barely getting 20 viewers, there's no fucking way thousands of people were all sending her messages every day when only 10-20 watched her stream. Funny you should mention that considering Narcissa herself sent me a message and told me to kill myself

because I didn't post about her new botw record that week. The point is, having people sending you mean messages isn't an excuse for anything she did which ruined her reputation.

I do agree on one thing said in the video however. The point cyberdemon makes about the other streamers in the speedrunning community ignoring Narcissa. I think that was pretty fucked up myself. For the last year or two we've pretty much been the only ones trying to actually help Narcissa. Telling her to see a therapist, to go outside, to find a job so she didn't end up homeless. Of course she ignored it all and called us evil but at least we tried.

That's more than I can say about Trihex and the other big streamers. When Narcissa started to act mentally ill on stream every week they all backed off and refused to ever talk about her. Meanwhile Narcissa was crying over her view numbers and they wouldn't host her or make a tweet telling their fans to follow her, when things got worse and Narcissa started making numerous suicide threats not a single one of them stepped in and tried to get her help, they totally ignored it and pretended it wasn't happening. Random viewers abandoning Narcissa I can understand, but people who said they were your friends? Just goes to show you how fake all these streamers are. If you're not on their level they will treat you like garbage.

Scooping the voice up is definitely the only tool some deep voiced people have to emulate femininity without obliterating all dynamics by going full falsetto and not sounding human.

Narcissa seems more "gifted" in this sense, as she's retained the same geek warble that she had as Cosmo.

It's hard to say whether this is authentic or not but the phrase "I can only win if..." stuck with me. Life is not a game, it's not a speedrun. If you turn life into a stupid game, you can only ever win stupid prizes. The only way you can actually win at a stupid game is to not play it.

Speedrunning itself is pretty fucking stupid - but if you don't take it too seriously, it's as valid a hobby as any other (although certainly not as healthy an activity as others are). The only good thing to come out of speedrunning is GDQ, Limit Break and similar events that turn autism (mine included) into charity money. Anyone who thinks the act of speedrunning itself is some grandiose action deserves a thread on the Farms.

Speedrunning itself is pretty fucking stupid - but if you don't take it too seriously, it's as valid a hobby as any other (although certainly not as healthy an activity as others are). The only good thing to come out of speedrunning is GDQ, Limit Break and similar events that turn autism (mine included) into charity money. Anyone who thinks the act of speedrunning itself is some grandiose action deserves a thread on the Farms.

It's not even the speedrunning that makes GDQ successful. At the core it has more to do with the runners putting on a good show. Most of their popular runs have all kinds of mistakes and bad luck, but that doesn't matter when the hosts are making it a fun ride.

I'm a page late but the pause thing isn't narcissa sperging - a new glitch was just found that lets you complete oot in 0 pauses (or maybe it cut out a pause? I'm not keeping track). I assume it's a pretty big topic in the community - zfg was mentioning it during his stream that day. I think it's the same glitch that lets you escape from kokiri forest without an item, just a rock, but I wasn't paying close attention. I think that just shows he misses the game enough to keep up with that shit pretty regularly

Yeah, that ship long sailed and Narcissa knows it. It's better to just keep it in the past without tainting their old records. The iQue isn't even the fastest thing to run on anymore so it's not like they'd still have an edge. And it's not like they could really compete in races or host marathons with the twitch ban.

I do miss Narcissa/Cosmo's explanations of glitches and shit but not enough to go back and watch them if they were to turn a new leaf and commentate again or whatever. They've systematically destroyed any ties they had to the speedrunning community. They did that shit on purpose so everyone would hate them and they could feel safe in their persecution blanket. Such a waste. It's like suicide by cop.

This is still less pathetic than all the old Cosmo fans in this thread begging him to go back into Zelda speedrunning tbh, or the kiwis who consistently post "helpful advice" on how Narci can fix his career. At least you've given up on Narci, some people still seem to think he can redeem himself and go back to the way things were in 2014.

Narci is a lost cause and more people should come to that conclusion. Sucks you got burnt by him but this has been a long time coming. He's been batshit crazy and unstable for years.

EDIT: In case anybody's forgotten, Isaac is Narci's ex boyfriend from a few months ago, try not to scare away informants before they've even said anything.
