By Indian I'll assume the writer of that article meant Native American. Otherwise, that writer knows shit all about World War II. You can't just throw races into a WWII movie because you feel like being progressive. All you'll end up doing is ruining history.

Uh, no. While I haven't seen the movie, Dunkirk was before the US entered the war, so any Native Americans/First Nations soldiers would have been Canadian (and yes there were Canadians amongst the British Expeditionary Force, but not many were at Dunkirk, probably far fewer of Native American descent).

The author likely means South Asians, and there were about a thousand Indian soldiers from the Royal Indian Army Service Corps at Dunkirk albeit in a non-combat support role. Its not exactly a secret. India was a British colony, and Indian soldiers did fight for Britain, especially in Burma, the Middle East and North Africa. So did many other soldiers from the colonies and dominions such as the aforementioned Canadians.

What the fuck did I just read? Everything except the last one(which only gave me a slight chuckle but it's still pretty edgy) was extremely exceptional.

Yes, I know this, but given that this guy is trying to be a SJW he probably means Indian as in East Indian. SJW's tend to forget that First Nation/ Native Americans exist. Hell, they'll even gloss over the fact that Metis exist.

I like to mention that Canadian forces were also immediately called back, however there were individual Canadians in the British Expeditionary Force. Canadian forces really wouldn't see Dunkirk until 1944.

Canada also only had 3,000 or so First Nations people in the war, with an unknown amount of other indigenous people who served. Seeing any First Nation in the war would have been rare.
