I can't be bothered resizing these. Out of hibernation beaver activity. Same tree viewed at 90 degrees

I already posted these in the bird thread, but I figured they'd fit here too:

Old lenses
Old lenses don't go down in price because they're already obsolete. Don't be surprised if you can resell it down the road for the same price (or more since they get more use on mirrorless now). I'm a vintage lense enjoyer myself, what'd you cop?

Vivitar series 1 70-210mm f2.8
Nice. I've never gotten a vintage zoom but they seem to be getting more popular. And I see the f3.5 version is known for its close focus, seems like the 2.8 does well too.
Here's a similar pic I took with a Helios 44-2 (doesn't focus nearly as close). Interesting how the shadows have a similar tone I don't think I get with modern glass.

I've also got a 100-500mm vivitar series 1 lens but am having a hard time finding good subjects to take pictures of with it. Its amazing on apsc but my towns not super scenic.

Did any of you get to see the aurora last night? I had no clue it was even going on or I would've gone up north a little way to photograph it.

Took some photos tho of unrelated things. I climbed in a monkey pen it was great, took a helios 40-2, not super good at using it though i'm basically just running around wide open.
