I went trekking in the Slovak Tatra mountains this year. Here's some hand picked pictures. They were all taken with Samsung Galaxy S21U in RAW format and manually color graded in Adobe Camera Raw.

The first picture makes me think of either something taken on Safari, or something from (highly inaccurate but also gorgeous) vintage paleoart. Love it.
Cheers.
It's a sunset shot from the balcony of the Australasian hotel in a small town called Eden on the south coast of NSW.
The skies there are usually spectacular because it's where the south coast and east coast weather systems meet.
As you can see... 20241207_200345.jpg 20241211_184631.jpg

Aurora Australis from my back yard. I had a friend who slept on the beach who said it was going all night... I wish I'd gotten my shit together to sleep down there.

I took some lovely pics this last fall, saw this thread again and thought maybe you guys would like to see them. I love getting pics of squirrels and chipmunks, they're not so fast I can't catch them if I'm lucky!

I found this little happy faggot when I was trying to look at frog spawn

I might post this in the general too, but any recommendations on learning photo editing and composition for an absolute beginner?

YouTube channels, books etc

I like these pictures but they don't pop the way some of the ones in this thread or anywhere else do so I assume it's first competition, or cropping down and then some editing.

I went back for another hike and managed to get a few semi decent photos of some flowers (and a spider). I'm especially happy with how the fiddlehead one turned out.
