"Naturopath" gets what he deserves

Omer Ahmetovic of Bowling Green has pleaded not guilty to a murder charge and was being held in the local jail Friday. The citation for his arrest on Wednesday did not describe a motive. His lawyer didn't return phone calls. But a lawsuit filed in January by Ahmetovic and his wife, Fikreta Ibrisevic, lays out a series of grievances against the caregiver, Juan Gonzalez.

The lawsuit says the Bosnian refugee couple met Gonzalez in early 2016, after Ibrisevic was diagnosed with a form of soft-tissue cancer. The couple looked into natural therapies while waiting to be scheduled for traditional cancer treatments.

They said Gonzalez told them that "chemotherapy is for losers," and guaranteed he could cure her within three months.

If tomorrow it came out that eating kale and rubbing lavender oil on your balls cured cancer with significantly less side effects than chemotherapy, it would be immediately picked up by the shitloads of cancer research institutes and research trials would begin immediately.

The reason cancer quacks are so common is that if you can get the suckers to drop chemo and actual real treatments, they'll be dead and won't be able to go after you when they realize you swindled them.

The problem is they might have survivors who decide to take you out in revenge, or one of your victims might figure out they're getting ripped off and murdered while they still have the strength to do something about it.

I just know if I were ever on the jury where someone killed one of these vermin, all you'd have to do would be put on the flimsiest imaginable insanity defense that you were insane with rage and couldn't control yourself, and you'd be getting a not guilty from me.

When the world of alternative 'medicine' has people who genuinely promote drinking piss to promote good health, burning holes in your skin to cure cancer, getting a foot massage to cure diabetes, and squirting bleach up kids' butts to cure autism, it can be hard to tell if someone is trolling or not.

My mom's favorite naturopath got in some legal trouble for meeting patients at Starbucks and writing prescriptions for Xanax and such after his license was revoked.
