The Navaverse genuinely makes me pine for the days of Electric Hedgehog Pokemon and Jerkops. I remember years ago, having a laugh at old David Gonterman and Gonterman winding up being a surprisingly good sport about it later, only for me to discover Sonichu and be entranced by the beautiful abomination. Now I find myself pining for these simpler times, for I have seen the Nava-verse and have seen that which should not be.
Hour #2: I've been going through the Nava-Verse bestiary. As someone who's studied the lore of fiends for a thesis statement once, I am a bit surprised to find that many of the "demons" in his universe have names based off actual ones, for example, Meth Stoph is a pretty obvious name expy for Mephistopheles, whereas Beallsavoss is an obvious name based on Beelzebub.
What is bizarre is how terribly bland the fluff behind these are. The art is worthy of an unsound mind, but the actual information behind this world is bland, uninteresting, and significantly weaker than even the fluff of CWCville, which I didn't even realize was fucking possible. What's especially humorous is how much rape and openly sexual inappropriate content there is in the Nava-Verse - far more than even Chris was willing to show at his lowest - which Moleman insists is fine for kids.
I'm sort of scared, is what I'm getting at here.
