Nebula / Standard Broadcast LLC - A Creator-Owned Streaming Service

SoyfaceCeo made this absolutely hilarious post on Bluesky yesterday:

Sure, Wiskus. Normies are totes recognizing you, the CEO of an obscure barely subscribed to streaming service with content that solely consists of tankie nonsense, at the airport ✈️🙄

I bet this idiot is mistaking how the AmEx Centurion airport longue concierges are trained to address you by name. They also know what company you work for, if you are using a Business AmEx - like it shows up on the computer screen when you check in. I bet he was a cheapskate and was tipping the AmEx longue workers with Nebula gift cards (note: everything in there is free for card holders; however generally you are still expected to tip the servers/bartenders).

can anyone make the soyjak extending a note thing based on this?

According to a post on Nebula's subreddit today, it turns out SoyFaceCEO (just look at his stupid soyface in this pic!) had a cameo in a Mr. Beast video:

Hm, curious and curiouser.

This was the SoyFaceCEO's explanation for said cameo (he also throws Mr. Beast under the bus quite unceremoniously 🤣):

IDK wtf Night of the Coconuts is. I'm just gonna to assume a themed drink promotion at Margaritaville locations. Like, buy one Pina Coolada, get 2 free 🍹🥥

Maybe Nebula does have weird glowie-connections/origins (since Mr. Beast sure is full of 'em). Although I genuinely hope not, 'cause what a horrific waste of federal taxpayer dollars. Can't they find less godawful Youtubers to artificially prop-up? I sincerely hope Trump fires whoever has been in charge of whatever defense project resulted in Nebula. Give its funds to some tech CEO to make a non-Chinese spyware TikTok alternative, or to some wacky scientists to review Giant Ground Sloths. At this point, literally anything else would be less retarded.

Night of the Coconut is a Nebula Original production by Patrick Willems and is supposedly one of their more popular videos. I have not watched it. This whole exchange is yet more evidence that Wiskus is more ego than business, because it's less throwing Jimmy under the bus than positioning himself in the straight-talking expert/guru spot. Dude's got main character syndrome BAD.

H bomber dude the balding British homosexual literally has connections to tall poppies which has connections to the former CEO of Wikipedia the now CEO of MPI who has direct connections to the United states intelligence apparatus the reason it's done that way is so you look crazy pointing it out

Since it's Nebula-tankie nonsense, I'm just gonna assume the "Genocidal Coconuts" are supposed to be Jews. It also sounds an awful lot like that weird Milo Murphy's Law (a Phineas and Ferb spinoff) three part episode making fun of Doctor Who, with the evil Pistachios that try to eradicate humanity.

Anyway, reviews paint a bleak picture (including someone actually comparing it to Channel Awesome's shitty films! 🤣 🤦‍♀️):

He almost reminds me of Elon Musk, in a way. Like, the more I hear Wiskus speak/see his 'tarded internet posts, the more I think he should absolutely not in any way shape or form, be a CEO or even just a senior executive, in a company. I'd invest in a bullsh!t Hawk Tuah-style digital coin, before I'd invest in any company headed by Wiskus.

How many creators now, have left Nebula due to "creative & business differences"? A CPGGrey fan seems to have done research a few years ago, and also found it all to be fishy.

Anyway, who the heck is Taytocrisps (this is a comment from the Nebula timeline Reddit post)?
/u/TaytoCrisps is Brian McManus from Real Engineering; he's also twice been a guest on Nebula's Jet Lag: The Game. I already posted about this:
Another thing I found which sounds like juicy drama that might be worthy of being in the OP: Apparently, YouTubers CGP Grey and Kurzgesagt (Philipp Dettmer) were co-founders of Nebula, but then allegedly tried to shut it down, for some reason.
Whatever happened, nobody seems to be willing to spill the beans for whatever reason. But they were clearly advertised as the lead talents when Nebula launched, then silently removed.

I would defend the future leader of the white race Doug Walker at least he wasn't taking other people's investment capital and wasting it on independent films he was using his own money

I've noticed people who are left wing beliefs are the most scummy people when it comes to business ventures a leftist stabbing someone else in the back for money or power how surprising

Another day, another example of the SoyFaceCEO being a smarmy idiot running Nebula straight into the ground.

Someone on the Nebula subreddit made a thread suggestion Nebula hire more Youtube talent, since they noticed there's not much content on the platform. Other Nebula subscribers chimed in, suggesting polls or a means for Nebula subscribers to suggest Youtubers they'd like to see on Nebula.

How did Wiskus react to these well meaning comments? Obviously like a fucking 'tard. Here, read the thread for yourself (I archived it since Wiskus generally deletes any comments/posts that criticize Nebula).

I personally like this banger of a comment:

1737435523467.png

...so are all the co-owners/creators also fucking each other? Wiskus is so weird. What a weird gross comparison.

More stuff:

1737435768615.png

There's so much on the thread, plz check it out. Wiskus goes into the complicated af business ownership partnership thing, but doesn't explain it in a way that makes it make any sense (I still think it's run like an art collective).

TLDR, in this thread Wiskus accidentally confirms that A: Nebula cares more about earning money than making its subscribers happy. & B: Nebula is a supersecret awesome special club and you're not allowed in it (if you are a creator). & don't you dare suggest Nebula invite anyone to its secret special awesome club! 🙄 Subscribers tastes suck! (...which in hindsight, makes sense - since, I mean, they subscribe to Nebula so...)

this is proving once and for all that venture capitalism firms are massive scam operation gambling with other people's money

Honestly, I'm still under the impression the majority of Nebula's funding comes from shady foreign sources, like Qatar or Iran? Nebula's anti-Saudi bias (like, they snark on MbS in nearly every video with a topic marginally related to the Middle East) and the numerous pro-Qatar propaganda videos, are quite telling. An actual venture-capitalist funded streaming platform intended to compete with Netflix, wouldn't be retarded enough to openly talk smack about the Saudi Crown Prince. Saudi financing is an integral part of many Hollywood productions. Telling MbS to go die in a plane crash (to paraphrase Lindsay Ellis) is a business decision you'd only expect from a company being handed fat stacks of cash from Qatar.

Edit: Maybe that's why Wiskus was so dodgy when it came to answering questions related to inviting new Youtube channels onto Nebula. They can only be Youtube channels with tankie-creators that would be 100% cool with becoming unregistered foreign agents/be approved by Wiskus' Qatar spymasters.

That wouldn't surprise me whatsoever as much as people like to pretend there's not a massive problem in the United States of America with foreign influence there actually is people like Dave Smith libertarian podcaster 100% repeats Russian propaganda about the Ukrainian war as much as I like to clown on the pro Ukrainian types there's really disgusting weirdos who take Russian money.
But the problem is anytime you try and talk about this to anybody about Russian influence Chinese influence or any foreign influence they literally get tribal about it it doesn't help that the United states is objectively funding idiots like Macbeth.
And a bunch of others
geopolitics discussions have become generally low IQ foreign influence operations arguing with other low IQ foreign influence operations rather than actual discussions of the merits of any position.

We really do need a president who isn't being bought and paid for by the state of Israel or any country to clean out all of these foreign influence operations as well as the remnants of Soviet importance operations but that would require a lot of people going to prison and a lot of people's personal accounts being frozen.

You'd have to arrest every member of the ACLU ADL SPLC George Soros groups plenty of think tanks the Manhattan institute the institute for strategic dialogue.
You would basically need someone to declare martial law

It's interesting you mention remnants of Soviet operations. That's what the whole "Free Palestine" movement is. The majority of what would be Palestine (i.e. places where Arabs were displaced due to the War in 47 or 48?) is in modern day Lebanon. The Soviets essentially created the Palestinian nation (literally they just took the old Hadrian-era Roman term for the region - which was pretty much only used by Westerners. Like how Westerners call Japan "Japan" 'cause Dutch traders wrote that on a map, instead of Nippon - the country's actual name) trained Yasser Arafat, supplied the PLO with arms...to justify the PLO fucking up blowing shit up/hijacking planes Western policies in countries friendly with Capitalist Western powers within the Middle East (Hence, Egypt's hatred of Palestine. The PLO was always blowing sh!t up in Egypt/ignored every official peace treaty. Heck, I had an Egyptian classmate in college whose great uncle was killed by the PLO I think in the late 70's or early 80's. Classmate was a devout Muslim, definitely wasn't a fan of "Free Gaza" supporters) Oh, wait, you were probably alluding to that in the first place 😅

Well, that's to be expected - presumably any political streamer with an IQ above room temperature would quickly realize the Russian businessman offering their political streaming channel millions of dollars, isn't doing it out of the kindness of his heart.

This federal scrutiny should be expanded to pretty much all special interest groups. I'm convinced a good majority of them are complex scams. Like how horse rescues are often a property tax scam (and the rescue horses not even being rescues, just like, horses breeders intentionally claim are "kill pen" horses). & the SPLC pretty much declares anything a hate group/symbol nowadays 🤣 They're still 'sperging about Pepe the Frog being a rallying call for white nationalists.

Anyway, in Today's Nebula News, a bunch of them are 'sperging out about Trump's gender executive order, and encouraging their followers to donate to troon charities:

Hopefully this organization doesn't harm children (unlike that mermaids one).

pretty much the PLO was no better than Hamas they were just violent communist psychopaths rather than violent Islamist psychopaths I do have a find it hilarious that the Soviet back groups all got eventually purged by the violent Islamists I would say in the late 70s.
And we're basically supplanted by violent Islamists.

good transgenderism is 100% a disgusting ideology the only trainees I've ever met were huge narcissistic freaks and were narcissists

Just checking his post history and he comes off as a huge cunt. For example, his engagement on the subreddit is complain that one of the things he made for Nebula wasn't receiving roaring applause or making threads in r/ireland calling people out for hating on Pole migrants or the English to then make a joke about the English or Catholics on Nebula. This guy is an Austin transplant but almost everything he posts is in r/ireland.

In today' Nebula News, they're gonna release a Twilight Zone/Black Mirror knock off anthology series. Since, it's Nebula, I suspect it'll be more like a rip off of Outer Limits, and not like, the good Outer Limits episodes, the sh!tty ones with rubber aliens making really obvious political metaphors about American politics (I guess substitute Lyndon B. Johnson with Trump?)

More importantly, I caught the CEO lying about Nebula statistics (in that Nebula thread where people criticized Nebula for not having much content/not enough creators):

1738136364323.png

Half a billion views? That's fucking BULLSHIT. Christiano Ronaldo has only recently reached half a billion views on Youtube, and he has millions of subscribers/is one of the world's biggest football/soccer stars! I'd guesstimate Nebula probably has 300,000 subscribers currently (I'm assuming around half didn't bother to subscribe once it left Curiosity Stream) TLDR, the math ain't mathing!

& for something amusing, Wiskus almost said goyslop in a recent Bluesky post:

It isn't strange, when you consider how Qatar has the majority of its Western investments in the UK/Ireland. For example, Qatar is one of the large shareholders in Eir, which is Ireland's most expansive ISP. In fact, Qatar recently increased their Irish-investments this summer to the tune of 300 or so million. Poland & Qatar have become quite chummy - so his post history would make sense if he was, as I suspect, actually employed by Qatari glowies.

Obviously, I'm joking,..in Minecraft 🚬

I am very interested to see if the gutting of USAID funding has a domino effect on Nebula and its stable of creators. Either directly through the funding of projects, as a secondary reaction to media funding via shady backchannels or even as a tertiary action of a dropoff in Patreonbux from their paypigs. It's entirely possible there will be a left-wing media revival in reaction to the Trump streamroller, as happened last time, but it doesn't feel like it.

now the United States state department usually likes its propagandists to be consistent when it comes to pushing America's strategic interests being anti-israel is not one of them
