Recently, my gf got into k-pop (for some reason), and I'm trying to be a nice bf and gain a little of knowledge, so that I can understand what she's talking about when she starts talking about it. however, every fuckin band is the same. they all sound the same. all the women sound the same and all the men sound the same. so, how the hell can someone tell one band from another?

Just say “that’s some good shit” and look up a random k pop star to show your gf. Chances are you don’t even need to use brain activity to find one she’lol like since they’re all the same corporate Mumbo Jumbo.

You're girlfriend is into makeup and painting her nails, do you plan on picking up those hobbies as well?
Some dudes gotta learn when you’re around women. Doesn’t mean is bad if you have a daughter in the future, but practicing on yourself frequently is the issue.

You might as well start plugging yourself with tampons at that point. If they both had an organic interest in kpop, cool that's something they can both enjoy talking about. But forcing yourself to get into something you're not interested in isn't going to work. My significant other watches the dumbest garbage television and I just walk in and make fun of whatever she's watching or the characters on the screen and get her cracking up.

I'm not talking about listening to it. just a basic understanding so that I could get her a birthday present or a basic understanding when she talks about it. also, I kind of owe her this since she went to the gathering with me a few times.

Tell her you like Girl's Generation, one of the old school K pop groups (and the only one I know off the top of my head). They broke up a few years ago but were apparently one of the biggest groups at their height. The thing that makes them 'unique' is that they are a big group, 8 girls in total. Here's a video for reference:

90s kpop:

90s k-hiphop:

10s k-hiphop:

00s k-metal (I know you prob won't listen to the first three but seriously listen to this one):

if you want a birthday present just ask her what band she likes the most and surprise her with some merchandise or album or whatever of it. this will be the most minimal involvement you need that doesn't require you having to understand the intricacies of the boy band industry of south korea where they churn out groups of singers every year to win the hearts and money of young girls across the world.

Are you talking about magic the gathering or the juggalo gathering???
the gathering of the juggalos

i love her but she always goes ".......I don't really need anything...." in other words, you should know what I want lol
