The FBI captured two people, one a nationally known neo-Nazi leader, before they could launch an attack on Baltimore's power grid that could "completely destroy this whole city," authorities said Monday.

The suspects, Brandon Russell and Sarah Clendaniel, were taken into custody last week, in Florida and Maryland, respectively, officials said.

Federal authorities described the alleged plot as “racially or ethnically motivated.” More than 61% of Baltimore residents are Black.

Russell is a founder of the Atomwaffen Division, a neo-Nazi group bent on "ushering in the collapse of civilization," according to the Southern Poverty Law Center. The group admires Charles Manson and supports "the idea of lone wolf violence," according to the Anti-Defamation League.

The alleged plot was first flagged in June of last year after an FBI informant claimed to have been contacted by Russell, who wanted "to attack electrical substations and has provided guidance on how to cause maximum damage," according to the criminal complaint filed agaisnt the pair.

Russell then connected the informant with Clendaniel, a Maryland resident, to hash out plans for an attack on stations in and around Baltimore, federal authorities said.

The pair and informant worked with urgency, as Clendaniel said she was terminally ill with a kidney ailment "and was unlikely to live more than a few months," according to the criminal complaint.

Clendaniel had five stations in her crosshairs, officials said, in Norrisville, Reisterstown, and Perry Hall, Maryland, and two more "in the vicinity of Baltimore," the complaint said.

Attacks on all five would be a " 'ring' around Baltimore and if they hit a number of them all in the same day, they 'would completely destroy this whole city,' " Clendaniel allegedly said in a recorded conversation, the complaint revealed.

Thomas J. Sobocinski, special agent in charge of the FBI's Baltimore office, said the suspects were serious in their efforts aimed at paralyzing the city of 580,000.

"The accused were not just talking, but taking steps to fulfill their threats and further their extremist goals. Russell provided instructions and location information. He described attacking the power transformers as the greatest thing somebody can do," Sobocinski said.

"Their actions threatened the electricity and heat of our homes, hospitals and businesses.”

Attacks on the nation's power grid came into focus in December, following two high-profile incidents.

There were shootings at two electrical substations in central North Carolina in early December, officials said. At the peak of Duke Energy outages, more than 45,000 homes and businesses were in the dark.

That incident was followed by attacks at four electricity substations on Christmas weekend near Tacoma, Washington, as about 14,000 homes and businesses were forced to do without power, officials said.

Why do none of these people ever achieve anything? Its weird to me that, apparently there is a sizable portion of the United States who wants to do stuff like this and yet they never succeed.

Just joking, I think it's most effective to just let everyone say everything glows, resulting in self-policing and demoralization.
Well I get it with all the lies the MSM spews it is alright to be skeptical before having more evidence I just don’t think the right idea is to automatically decide everything is a lie that just leads to another kind of fanaticism and zealotry. Sometimes a wacko is a wacko but every movement has wackos so why are we painting the whole movement with that brush? Obviously this is generalization and there are some movements that are pretty evil to most of humanity like tranny shows for kids and shit.

Interesting
For context (you probably already know this, @White Devil), this is a website for female convicts. Clendaniel is an ex-con, presumably.

The preface to the site includes this gem:

Sometimes we make choices in life that are wrong, and the results are life changing. That doesn't change how human we are, how we need to be loved and cared for, how we long for acceptance from other human beings. Everyone on this site is in prison, some for short periods of time, and others for longer. These are real women with a real need for respect and dignity in a world that has taken most of that away from them.

(At first I was going to say that this is the common feminine diffusion of responsibility, but then I realized that a lot of convicts are this way regardless of sex.)

I thought her outdate of 9-23 was the interesting part. It's February.

Quoting from the complaint pdf I posted a few posts up, referring to Clendaniel's data from google:
27. The Google records also contained screenshots of a document that states that it is not a manifesto; however, the FBI assesses that it contains many aspects that would be included in a manifesto. The document starts: “If this is being posted online, I can only hope that so my plans were at least partially successful.” The document references Kaczynski, Brevic, Hitler and others while stating that “I would sacrifice **everything** for my people to just have a chance for our cause to succeed.” The document later states: “Unfortunately, I have very little experience with firearms. But once I get my license, I hope to get at least a couple hours of practice in . . . What a shame I don’t have a rifle yet. This storm would be the perfect time to hit some substations and knock out power."
Keeping documents with any of those keywords on a google account is on par with those idiots who fall for the "Bring your meth down to the station and we'll test it to make sure it's uncontaminated and safe for you to use" ruse.

Baltimore is that diverse? Why even bother destroying it at that point. Glows brighter than the sun.

Lots of people want to do awful shit, but they realize that they are sacrificing themselves to kill cogs in a machine. Yeah, if the mental math of their life vs. The societal gain of "taking out the trash" shifts, they'd be willing to do it. But, for now the only thing they would do is fuck up themselves for not much in scheme of things. So they watch and wait, and maybe they'll get pushed over the edge or maybe they won't. Its what society is built on. Making sure the rational capable people have bought into society enough to make the math not shift the other way.

You don't have to shoot out the power grid in Baltimore to bring it to it's knees. All you gotta do is hand out free malt liquor, hi-points, and Crack. You'd think with all the feds in these groups they'd have looked at that little trick of the CIAs. In case any of you retards in AW or whatever are reading this, here's a neat instructional video explaining the process.
