When someone I know starts talking about how we should always punch Nazis, I generally ask them who gets to decide who the Nazis are, and then inform them that I could find a whole bunch of people who would call them a Nazi. So if those people got to decide, then yes, it would be open season on their faces.
If everyone Era believes is transphobic has to vote for the other candidate, then it would be the biggest sweep ever - in the 90%s at least, possibly up to 99%. Because they think everyone is transphobic. Everyone. And of course, by the transitive properties in their heads, transphobes are all TERFs are all alt-right are all Nazis.
I really hope Bernie doesn't walk this back, because more people need to realise that the troons have no actual power if you ignore them. They're like Freddy Krueger (in the first movie at least), hideous and malformed and determined to kill you, but ultimately powerless if you stop letting them have power over you.
They're less than 0.02% of the population. They're not going to vote for Trump. Throw all the trans people under the bus - even their handmaidens are stuck because they won't vote for Trump either. I've come to believe that the first candidate to pull the receipts on troons and stop explicitly supporting them will actually gain support rather than lose it, as more people hit peak trans. I think aggressively suppressing them would be fun but wouldn't help a candidate, but actively pushing back on their bathroom bills, their self-identification attempts, their efforts to get children on puberty blockers and so on - that would actually help a candidate. And maybe allow the conversation around troons to start being less '100% support us or you're a bigot!'
Bernie would probably be better for trans people than any other candidate, but because he's a white male and because he doesn't overtly pander to them the way that Elizabeth "50% of Cabinet positions filled by women and non binary people" Warren does, they hate him.
Kinda sucks that it will probably come down to Biden vs Bernie instead of Warren vs Bernie, since the latter would be so much more entertaining.

It's strange because Bernie has an insanely woke core audience but because many of them posses the worst quality of wrong-think, which is, being capable of speaking to people who don't think like them, they get accused of wanting to kill all women and minorities.
This is what interests me far more than you liking Bernie or whatever. I doubt anyone gives a shit on the Farms who you like. It's the erosion of society by these people as they try and force everyone into more insular echo chambers where no one can speak and no one can enjoy life anymore.

A good Operation B-Dubs would involve at least two Era posters, preferably more, since they will sequentially be banned.
Poster 1 posts "problematic" Dubs GAF quotes as their own in response to various Era topics. When inevitably banned, Poster 2 quotes the banned post, with the ban reason, and posts a screencap of the original Dubs post with an archive link. Poster 1 and 2's inevitable bans would be the obvious reason to need Posters 3 through X.

I think people are waiting for another highly tense moment when the community is already attacking staff. Like sabrina did with Royalan. Take advantage of a rebellion by directing the angry mob to an unrelated target.
B-Dubs and all the staff know their receipts are out there now, so they'll try and play dumb and keep everyone happy. But its Resetera, even although everyone "bad" is getting 1-6 month bans on the daily now, these inmates are never happy for long. If Bernie gets the nomination they'll be out for blood.
Everyone on Resetera backing Bernie will be transphobic/racist or something. That's when you drop the B-Dubs shemale comments or him saying THE N WORD, as a white person. All the mods defending pedophilia? They'll never care about that, since NeoGAF these people have shown they'll always empathize with pedos.
