I know it's obvious why they do it, but I love how the ones that say anything about even potentially voting for Trump consistently immediately get their bans stamped with "Permanent" without going through a "Duration Pending" phase or any temporary length. It's just funny how the mods are so blatantly implying they're irredeemable as a person.

I'm also reminded of cuckoo chicks -- brood parasites planted in another species' nest, where they then push out and kill all the actual offspring and abuse the care given by their surrogate parents. Cuckoo chicks are interesting for a variety of reasons, including that a single chick will modulate its voice to resemble an entire clutch of baby birds screaming for food, to keep its surrogate parents hard at work appeasing its boundless appetite.

They went well past implying before they left GAF to form Reeee. There’s tons of threads and posts about how all conservatives and republicans are irredeemably evil on Reee.

After reading all twenty pages of that fucking thread, I love it. I fucking love it. People tone policing Excel who are getting called sensitive, when in almost any other thread that tone policing would be done by the other side. Vote blue no matter who, but vote for the CORRECT blue, and there's resetera members who think that's Biden, or Warren, or Sanders, about the only consensus they can even reach universally is "fuck Bloomberg". And the voters versus nonvoters crusade, my word that's just sad but hilarious. Members calling out nonvoters who are calling them out for being ableist against marginalized groups which they are a part of and also disabled who are in turn being called out for being selfish for not using their vote to benefit the greater whole and do their duty to their country and get orange man bad the fuck out of office, who are THEN called out for trying to bully people into voting for their agenda and don't care about those peoples' needs, which cycles back to "nobody's bullying though!".

They can't even reach a single fucking consensus on who to actually vote for, just who NOT to vote for(Bloomberg and Trump, reee), but it's everyone else that's the problem for not voting the RIGHT way because choosing to sit out the circus act for any reason at all means you are endorsing another four years of Trump and a lifetime of Trump appointed SCOTUS judges doing what they want, you FUCKING NAZI.

I am so looking forward to four more years. Hell, I want to see what Era will be like by the end of THIS year.

In the west there's a move from some 2nd and 3rd gen to have a nebulous "cultural Muslim community" where people are non believing and mostly non practicing, but call themselves a Muslim and maybe observe some of the big holidays, like Eid (Muslim Christmas). It's an attempt to imitate cultural Judaism and cultural Catholicism, but closer to the latter than the former, because Muslims and catholics aren't ethnic or cultural groups. It is also a way to have your cake (kebab?) and eat it too by being "out" on twitter and interface with SJWs with your full oppression points accounted for, without being out to your homophobic extended family that isn't online enough to pick up on your presence. It's kind of a liminal position to be in that I suspect most people transition out of (either agreeing to an arranged marriage as a beard or burning bridges), so it's a bit odd to see it treated as a permanent category.
