One of the things that keeps me optimistic about the future is that this ideology (Critical Race Theory) is self defeating, as perfectly illustrated by NeoGAF/Resetera. They're the perfect microcosm to see it unfold on a small scale.
The only path forward for it is destruction. All it can do is destroy. And as everyone is slowly annexed from it, it can only become smaller and more extreme, as each person studies the other with more and more scrutiny.
And as we all know; no one is without sin, no one can be that pure, and so bit by bit, everyone will slowly wake up, until finally the only one left will be a black islamic immigrant transgender single mother of one, born without hands and legs, blind, deaf, on the autistic spectrum and learning disabled, and schizophrenic.
They will stand atop the pile, a victor, insanely rambling about their oppression via clicks with their tongue. And no one will be there to listen. Instead, each person who was a part of the movement will look at the other and act as though they were never even really a part of it to begin with.
The damage to our society and our relations with each other will be done, but the sane adults and good hearted will repair it with real work, whilst the rest who went into the ideology the hardest will require support, as their worldview will be so warped from reality that the path back to sanity and productivity will be a long one, and may not even be guaranteed. They may require support (specifically financial) for the rest of their lives.
But the rest of us will get on with it, once the noise has finally settled to a quiet autistic hum.
