They're not ruining shit, but even if they were is that surprising? Their lives are so void of good and happiness that they can only take a brief pleasure in taking away the happiness of others. They're legitimately bad people, which is a much bigger reason nobody wants to be around them than their grotesque appearances, but they'll never understand that.

People like Courtney Craven can be really good at ruining my morning if I'm not careful. There are so many things I want to tweet at this person to explain why one might be unhappy with her, but everything she says, looks like, and hints at ("gamer" is synonymous with 'the bad people' and they should be mocked and driven away for disliking censorship/trying to enjoy something during a tough year) would have me making jokes about her home-delivered ironic coffee or whatever. She can do her celebration dance. Opposing views won't vanish after the (real) Boomers are dead. Younger people still have them.
