In all honesty I sometimes wonder if that's the ultimate fate of the woketrend that it dies because companies finally realize that appealing to the perpetually offended is a zero sum game.
 
It's telling that people not being transphobic and not saying a word is more offensive to that person than people openly complaining about the thread locks. If you don't engage them they have less ammunition to play the oppression card, and they hate it.
