Never Forget is a reference to the fact that the US was attacked when its people least expected it. It was done on American soil on civilian buildings. As for the victims of 9/11, not everyone on the plane that was a passenger was white but please NeoGAF user, go on in how Never Forget is problematic despite the fact that it's remembering an attack that was similar to Pearl Harbor that more or less shook the citizens of America, making them realize they aren't as safe as they thought. If this person wanted to really drive that point across, he should just go before New York and the children of those in 9/11 and say how "Never Forget" makes them all islamophobic.

The fun thing is that the thread was closed before bish reopened to warn everybody while being a ban bait thread. But I suppose that people can "discuss" in witch hunt threads as they as valid as "TheVerge:Killing fake Robot animals makes me less uncomfortable that killing fake animals in hunting games".

At least Max apologized while making clear he is not going to be thrilled in getting dog piled for now on.

Literally anyone who's followed Max for a reasonable length of time would instantly have realised it was just an unintentional fuck-up and that he's not some sort of neo-Nazi like Gaf seems to wish he was. Dude's gotta be one of the most genuine Youtubers out there. This early 4chan-esque witch hunting shit's getting way out of hand, and worst part is the mods are pretty much encouraging it by shutting down anyone who's urging people to maybe take a step back and view things in con text before dragging someone's name through the dirt.

No kidding. Out of all the vidya streamers, I think Max is one of the more level-headed and tolerable ones, if not one of the nicest out there. Everyone makes mistakes, and knowing the type of person he is, this was totally an honest mistake on his part. He shouldn't have to apologize any more than he has already, and the witchhunters at NeoGAF need to back the fuck off from him.
 
As the mod himself says so, though, it's all about the narrative so they wont let him live it down. I'd rather just disassociate myself from them instead, apologies doesn't sate bloodlust.

My parents worked for a farmer - let's call him Stevie Blunder - and his daughter was attending Harvard for gender studies. This was back in the late 80s, so my father was mystified by this choice of major. He thought, "You go to Harvard for law or business school, not bullshit like gender studies." He later realized what a cash cow it's turned out to be. People like Jesse Jackson showed that a person can bring down a corporation if that person has the right labels and says the magic words: "Racist" or "Sexist."

It's not until rather recently that there's been a backlash against politically correct, social justice pandering. It would have been a killer strategy if he had implemented earlier and with a different demographic than video gamers.
