At the core, almost everybody involved in this drama are miserable. This isnt an attack on this site, btw, we're all just witnesses to the spectacle. Most users here appreciate that this is for fun, Null's the only one with a serious stake because he keeps the lights on.
But...No matter what way this latest dumpster concludes, all the users are still gonna be totally unhappy. Why? Because nothing being fought over here is going to measurably improve their lives. Cyberpunk and how low and fast the mods bow to catboy avatars is all a huge, time-eating distraction.
They're still gonna be miserable, which means the pattern of behaviour they've gotten into is going to continue unchecked. It's just in a way tragic (but also funny as fuck) that Resetera, one of the few places willing to put up with their bullshit, is also their biggest whipping boy. Their neurosis leads them to abusing any shred of power obtained for all it's worth. One of the OP's had the right idea just ignoring them. If you notice them, or worse, try to explain yourself, then they smell weakness.
