The only good thing I can say about Last Jedi based on the screenshots he tweeted there is that the set designers tried and gave the viewer a really interesting spread of scenes. Visually that salt planet getting red scrapes by the vehicles is really interesting and eye-catching, as are Snoke's throne room and a number of other locales. It's just the writing, acting and choreography are so bad they steal the show. Some of the people working on that movie were really trying, it's a shame.

Disagree hard on the choregraphy. The lightsaber fight scenes are at their peak in the Sequel Trilogy, especially when Kylo Ren start swinging.

I always loved lightsabers as a concept, but the original trilogy fights are old and boring, and the prequels fights were over the top and somewhat cringy, almost like a child playing with his toys. IIRC lightsabers are supposed to be heavy. The sequels nailed the lightsaber fights. That Kylo Ren showcase in the first movie at the end was amazing.

Props to the last episode of The Mandalorian, that short fight between the Moff holding his dark saber and Mando was rad.

The OT is like that because it's more like actual fencing. They used actual sword masters and whatnot for those fight scenes, they're not "old and boring", they're somewhat realistic. It's just not super flashy Hollywood garbage like what you'd get in some of the Zorro movies.

I don't understand what you mean when you say "lightsabers are supposed to be heavy". They're hilts that emit a laser, lasers don't have weight. I couldn't imagine those hilts being more than a few pounds, honestly and that's being generous considering you're dealing with sci fi whatever the fuck materials.

Yeah, we live in a strange society where some sheep has to identify with the stuff they consume. We've come to a point where people speak about alt-right and leftist movies, something that wasn't really around back then.

Star Wars movies has always been on the left side of things. It's basically the hippie pot smokers vs the bad nazi empire. Democracy vs tyranny. TLJ is just the peak of that with some modern sauce. The problem is TLJ isn't entertaining, regardless of where you land on the political side. It's just a shit-sandwich, while the previous movies were entertaining.

A bit off-topic but after finishing the game on PC, I think they should've just canceled the last-gen release or delayed it until they could've done a Witcher 3/Switch demake version. There is nothing inherently wrong with the game and while it's a bit janky on PC, it's no more so than most recent releases and certainly not as bad as Marvel Avengers or FO76. It's very obvious its problems on the PS4/whatever-the-last-gen-Xbox-was-called stem from targeting too high of a minimum spec. The game itself is great.

As for a lawsuit, at least in the US, once refunds are given for something like this I don't see how anyone would have a cause of action. Unless in Poland/EU they allow you to sue for disappointment and shattered expectations? I would say Sony/Microsoft might have a case except they are complicit with allowing it past their cert process...
