The fact that they were willing to pay for a protest over some Micronesian armed robber shot in Honolulu (after a multi-night manhunt involving a carjacking and several gun crimes and robberies) means they're more organized and funded than that guy gives them credit for.
To have the funding to waste on a clearly unlikable person in a city where nobody gives a fuck about them just to create a headline is a flex, even if it might end up being over-reaching.
They're defending mentally ill freaks being out on the street not out of compassion, but out of self-preservation.

Assuming I was watching everything unfold about this like I thought it did, Resetera was ground-zero for the online mass-dogpiling of CDPR's Twitter PR guy by way of nudging everyone towards doxcrime via Bonus Stages (who was absolutely spreading that a thousand different directions at once outside of Ree), and given the reactions and assorted bloodthirst, I somehow doubt he was taking it that well! Especially since the reactions and bloodthirst were A-OK'd by staff as posting-as-therapy
Really just fucking lol that it was Matt Wilson of all people who started that shit and got a protection sweep-up by the staff too, which does fuckall considering how fast that crowd can spread anything on forum-centric Discord channels and Twitter threads - where forum mods generally take a generic "oh uh can't control what posters do outside the forums sorry" approach, aka "we let our most rabid/beloved posters bravely vent here without any action forumside". I can see Matt's current persona is "John K-but-softboi animation sperg", but he's also an ex-problematic-era FYAD poster hiding under 4 name changes for branding™ and/or ironic reasons, The 7th Guest being the latest on SA not a witch hunt
I guess what I'm getting at is pot-meets-kettle Hecht re: internet dogpiles by creepy weirdos, as the average Resetera Discord channel has long since been outed as a zoomer doxnet whenever it needs to be, as Cyberpunk was just one of many struggle sessions like this

What irritates them the most is that we archive the publicly available information then have the gall to make our own comments on it outside of their bubble. They're used to having things under their own control so a site that allows anyone to comment about the shit they spew is "harassment" to them. No one else is going to remind them how they danced on graves and even showed less than zero concern for people like Etika.
