Ownership of the site. It's been noted there and here that previously banned topics are now allowed, so long as it's got a leash on it. There's been a slight change of tone from the admins as well. The overarching theory is the new owner is saying 'no, you aren't going to ban discussion of the largest fucking games of the next few years;.

Normal people do it all the time. If I'm at a bar/restaurant/hotel/really anywhere public and I see a dude with a great fit it's real easy to go "that's a great coat/shoes/watch/etc man" and 99% I get a pleasant thank you. My wife gets compliments all the time.

Well, since the buyout i was expecting Era to get ignored by the new owners and nothing would change. I see that the mods are still bitches tho.

I'd imagine they largely ignore general goings on. You have a high post, high activity forum that would theoretically rake in ad money. Probably best to just let that be. But it's also a gaming forum and nothing attracts eyes more than angry shitposting. Telling the midget furry that she's not allowed to stop people from talking about Harry Potter just adds another layer of outrage to the ad machine.

Learning if the swedish mafia has actually forbidden the mod team from banning/curtailing discussions on massive franchises is something I've been looking forward to for quite a while. ResetEra has usually shied away from actually barring all mention of popular titles (Cerium probably wanted that sweet ad money), but that never prevented them from creating those ridiculous mod posts that essentially told people to grovel before their woke masters before daring to feel excited. Sadly, there have been no real inmate rebellions since the buyout.

Until they get to a point disagreeing that Sakurai hates all minorities will get you a ban.
