Hmm I wonder why the responses to these extremely similar situations are so different?
There was quite a lot of Xenoblade 2 fans while I was there and it pissed the mods off to no end. Not surprised to see they're still whining about it, guessing they've culled most of the fans from the site. Having cute anime girls certainly isn't the reason it's one of my favorite games (but it certainly doesn't hurt). It's not like the whiners have actually played it because I know the majority of them aren't smart enough to figure out the combat system.

It never ceases to amaze me how these people NEVER GET IT. *ONLY* the Blades are sexualized because they're literally perfect dream waifus while the natural born people are clothed normally and have sensible proportions. People should be cheering for Morag, but no. Don't even get me started on the massive non-troversy over Dahlia, a character who is an optional rare drop that you NEVER have to use and if you really hate her you can "release" her and darn near delete her from the game. Somehow that isn't enough.
But then again I'm such a turbo weeb that Xenoblade 2 is the only entry in the series I like, largely BECAUSE it's so anime.
Dahlia was one of the first ones I pulled and I was more than happy to post pictures with her in them haha. She gave me Dolly Parton vibes.

If anyone has studied intro-level psychology, you'll learn the terms of lots of phenomena you've already experienced. It's putting names to the faces. Fascism has existed before WWII, but it was just then and there that it received its name, making fascism readily known to the world. But it's interesting seeing her play defense by hanging on arbitrary threads that she has to power to dictate as an admin. I looked at a page myself and she looks like keffals with all those posts of hers, denoting terminal internet behavior..

Robert Mugabe was pretty much an open fascist. He just didn't have the "trains run on time" shit fascists are usually associated with.

I personally don't see it since I don't see their ads but I have seen plenty of people complaining about this. Surprisingly nobody complains about it on the forum itself since the jannies just ignore it anyway or say they can't do anything. (Probably because most of them have the ads blocked and the rest are idiots who pay for Era Clear.)
You can read the original documents outlining Italian Fascism, they're free on the internet. Nowhere does Gentile say anything about Jim Crow or show any interest in America, I imagine he and Mussolini had pretty much no interest let alone deep knowledge about the racial politics of America. Italian Fascism basically did not care at all about race or biology, it was about the power of the state. It's also hard to say that the "most notable acts of cruelty during the Holocaust" (which was done by Germany btw) were inspired by Jim Crow in America since America never had an institutionalized systematic genocide of Black people during the Jim Crow era, this was also the first era when America started to treat the Native Americans as legitimate people so that couldn't have been an inspiration either.
Nepenthe only knows enough about things to expose how little she knows about things. Many such cases.

Lucky bastard. I literally spent over 100 hours trying to pull her and she was one of my last pulls. I've only got like 3 characters left. Mind you this is also because I refused to continue the game until I got her so that was all normal cores from the earliest good grinding spot for cores. But on the plus side my first pull was Kora and she quickly became my second favorite.
But THAT'S why that non-troversy drove me so ballistic! Everyone is whinging about this character and I'm spending hours upon hours trying to get her!
Nothing to not be proud of there. Though admittedly Xenoblade isn't known for particularly sexy character designs outside of XC2's Blades and that was largely because they were guest designed. Been kinda disappointed in the characters I see for 3 so far. Look weirdly samey and create-a-character-esque. Moreso than in the game with the actual create-a-character. But I'm willing to give it a shot still just because of how good XC2 was.

This is the end result of "words are violence" with a dash of race privilege, it has been slowly built over like two decades but it is basically at the point where these people can completely exonerate a black man for assaulting or even killing a white person for saying something that upsets or triggers them.
I don't think either of these are particularly good but the overwhelming support for the shit manga one in that thread is interesting.
