I like how they can't conceive of bad guys as anything but "coded Nazis" even though the Empire doesn't really have any basis to it other than Palpatine's own personal power. I know the now no longer canon EU did toy with some racial stuff at one point but the Empire has never been "coded" fascist or Nazi in any way other than the similarities among all totalitarian states. The reconstituted Empire of the First Order has even less of a coherent basis, especially after the entire thing was revealed to just be part of Palpatine's long term plan.

They can't view any kind of media, not even lowest common denominator Disney stuff trying to be inclusive of as many people as possible*, in any way that doesn't adhere to their own stunted view of the world.

*Star Wars coolest characters have always been the villains, so they cast the "minorities" in all the coolest roles. But since Obi-Wan is the hero and "wins" in the end, this faggot is losing his mind.

astoturfing is great, he never reads the threads except the titles, often admits he doesn't really know what he's talking about and is just going off what someone somewhere might have said that he may have read half of but constantly posts like this and is totally immune to anyone who replies to him since he almost never comes back to threads. It's not a bit because he's been doing this for years back to GAF, but it's still a really great bit. Fat4All and other "characters" could learn a thing or two.

City-dwellers don’t need SUVs. It’s true. Also nobody needs video games. Imagine how much the environment is impacted every year from the energy used to power all the PS5s and Switches and gaming PCs out there. Needless to say, we should be burning down the homes of everyone that plays video games. Or just the basements in these guys’ case

It's already been pointed out but deflating tires is dangerous and reduces fuel economy, leading to higher consumption. Even just completely flattening them will likely result in more fossil fuels burning since a car with four deflated tires will either have to be towed (yay diesel!) or run its own engine to power one of those little 12V air compressors to air them back up.

Also, I assume this nonsense is being done in upscale liberal areas and not in the ghetto or anywhere with 2A-friendly gun laws? Because there are plenty of places in the US where you'll really be taking a big risk if you get caught fucking with people's cars. Lots of guns out there.

Though I'd love to watch a video of some of these imbeciles trying to pull this shit in south side Chicago. Roll up, start deflating some SUV with gold spinners, then suddenly it gets reeeeally dark out...

I've been on a big "Swords and Sandals" classic cinema binge lately. Spartacus, Cleopatra, Ben Hur, Barrabas, The Ten Commandments... You know the type. I keep getting distracted while enjoying my films, both by the thought of how modern "people" such as these would fare in those days, and by the amount of REEEEEEing some of the content would cause if these "people" were to ever step outside their comfort zone of childrens media and narcissism to experience a story that doesn't pander to them quite so hard. I keep getting giggle fits when I think of them inevitably being thrown to the lions, or made a galley slave. I guess the irony of that level of consoomer becoming the entertainment tickles me, and while I do enjoy a good gigglefit, it sadly does take away from my cinematic experience.

I was under the impression it was already legal there. I've never seen so many heroin zombies as in Vancouver.

It may have been defacto decriminalized. Many west coast liberal cities have taken similar approaches to various forms of crime (drug use, vagrancy, theft, prostitution, etc.), where the laws are still on the books but prosecutors won’t prosecute. It’s left parts of cities in really terrible states. I visited San Francisco a few years back and the level of open homelessness and disregard for the law was really sad to see. And from what I’ve heard it’s gotten even worse.

They don't realize that the druggies on the street don't care about treatment and prevention. That's for the rich, probably white people that they hate. The cities are increasingly refusing to arrest or prosecute anyone for anything who is mentally ill, take away possession of hard drugs and what are you going to be able to force them into treatment programs with if you can't shunt them into the drug courts? (Their answer: they shouldn't be forced into treatment, that's fascism!)

It's so weird how these "progressives" demand more and more laws against everything but then don't actually want them enforced except against rich, white people who can avoid everything. It's one thing to not support criminalization of drug possession on some principle like it not being the governments business, but it's pretty messed up to reject such a principle and then pretend that you're doing it to "help" people who have drug problems.

I am disappointed in Resetera right now.

The new Pokemon game's second trailer dropped this morning and one of the first things you see is two black player characters with black hair styles. Pokemon was shit on in the past for not having black characters (the only real option was using the same exact white/asian character but with dark skin), and it looks like Nintendo tried to make up for this with dreadlocks and afros and stuff.

But the current Era topic on the trailer is 13 pages and only has like four or so posts talking about the new black people hair styles.

I really hope that when the games come out in November, someone makes a white character with cornrows, posts the image to twitter, and Era melts down and 30 people get banned.

I mean, the real reason is that the writers for the Prequel and Sequel trilogy are hacks

But every Star Wars property except maybe Episode 1 has has blacks and mexicans and asians and jews in prominent roles. You can't really go with "star wars is racist because the 10th black named character is a BAD GUY"
