I can't stand how every Oculus / MetaQuest2 thread has to have at least a couple idiots popping up to declare that they won't buy an Oculus device if it requires them to have a Facebook account. It's a digital-only software platform, of course you're going to have to need some kind of account system to keep track of purchases and downloads. What is the difference whether you have an Oculus account or a Facebook account? It's still going to be Facebook tracking you through it.

If you severely like Facebook and want to boycott everything associated with them then fine, but I don't really see the point in voicing this in every single thread about their products. Google and Twitter suck too, but we can have threads about Stadia/YouTube/Twitter without pouty babies whining that they need a login to participate.
