If you really want to troll ResetEra, tell them that most Japanese people see abortion in the same way most American conservatives do. Most Japanese people see abortion as something that should actually be avoided in the first place if it's possible to do so; abortion is legal in Japan (only in the cases of rape, financial hardship, or if the woman's life is in danger) but despite this most Japanese people see abortion as a pretty cruel way to deny someone a chance in life and they don't really see it in a positive light like most American progressives do. If there is one thing that the Japanese and American right-wingers have in common is that they're both not that fond of abortion by the way.
They probably view it far more negatively as a social issue because they have dropped well below replacement rates and are looking at social ruin as a result. They are either going to have to deal with shrinking population or import more prolific breeders to dilute their culture.
