NeoGAF & ResetERA - The Hilarious N̶e̶v̶e̶r̶e̶n̶d̶i̶n̶g̶ Splintering "Gaming" Forum Circus

One of the dirty little secrets of the Internet is that the vast majority of people who post their opinions online are mentally-ill men (and I'm including trannies in that category). Normal people with a real job and a routine between work, commuting, sleep, friends, family, romance and hobbies aren't going to give a single shit what some random cunt online does or says about anything. Most of these soyboy faggots are total losers who are unemployed or if they have jobs are useless part-time wageslaves, so obviously they have nothing better to do.

Back when I was still in my 20s I spent way too much time on forums and assumed everyone online was as normal as me. It was quite a shock when I connected the dots.

I'm not sure we want to think about that too much given that we're posting here.

LOL. Never have I seen so much re/tardation in one post.

1) Kamiya is a legend. Price is made garbage and REEEEEd on twitter.

2) Kamiya BLOCKED people that bugged him on Twitter. He didn't go on a multi-Tweet spergathon like Price did.

3) Kamiya will engage in good faith with his fans. Price will scream "mansplaining" and "harassment" at any one who dares to ask her a legitimate question.

They're still defending Price? I'm currently banned so haven't been keeping up. She was a gigantic asshole on Twitter and got rightfully fired, as anyone should be, fuck, what is there to understand?

nonono you don't understand, see, she's a WOMAN and therefore it's not her fault that she called the company's customers "asshats" and told a well-meaning community member to "get the fuck out of my feed"

it's your fault she did those things.

The soys will defend anything with a vagina. The vagina will turn on them at the drop of a hat, but they don't care about that.

It's true, just look at what happened to Sensitive Joss Whedon after Avengers: Age of Ultron came out. These sorts of people don't a single shit about loyalty, they'd be more than happy to turn on each other as soon as one of them does something "problematic".

It also has to do with the fact that most of them are genetic rejects who have never gotten any action in their lives, so they appeal to feminine sensibilities (aka act like a simpering bitch) as a kinf of Hail Mary pass.

Case in point: https://twitter.com/fluffyman85

They were perfectly happy to apply "being nasty on Twitter" to firing people during GG and afterwards even though they were warned it could bite them in the ass.

One of their admins is responsible for someone losing their job at Microsoft because he joked about internet connectivity on his Twitter account.

This thread about why kids wear Trump hats is strange.

Every time you read a Skelepuzzle post, remind yourself that he is a gay man of Native American descent who has no connection to his culture because the natives couldn't into combat and is so eternally assmad about this that he screeches on ResetEra all day. Then laugh, because that shit is hilarious.

The only time I ever agreed with Manveer Heir. Man, what a blast from the past. So funny to see him defending rural areas.

That said, Adam could have handled the situation better, a simple "Sorry, hadn't realized how serious this was for some of you, I'll tell the guys about your concerns. We'll figure this out." would have stopped the entire thing, but for some reason he felt a need to be antagonistic while representing his company no less. I mean, I hear problems with Denuvo not letting people play their game because of spotty internet, does it make sense for an entire console to brick itself until it phones home? Plus the power going out doesn't match up to internet outage, you can still play a console offline during an internet outage. Did he deserve to be fired? I dunno, that's really up to the company to decide. He was certainly a douche, though, and with Microsoft already facing a backlash his time had come.

Obviously slow on the uptake but this is why the spastic mods spike anything negative to do with Kotaku.

NeoGAF/REEsetEra's whiteknighting of Kotaku far predates this event.

Jason Schreier was a member of GAF then went over to ResetEra, Patrick Klepek was actually a long-time friend of Tyler Malka's even before his stint on Kotaku, and as such he was a member of GAF/Era as well.

Pretty sure the list goes on.

And they soon turned on him.

The funny thing is that, by and large, he's parroting the same arguments that these companies are putting out there. He just fucked up by being overt in his arrogant tone and maybe getting a little too provincial.

His whole "I won't buy a vacuum because the electricity sometimes goes out" example also happens to be pretty dumb and ignores that vacuums require power to do anything; game consoles do not 'always' require an internet connection except when artificially limited to such restraints by companies seeking to enforce copy protection and integrate more purchasing.

He was working for MS at the time and this was in direct response to complaints about their XB1 reveal.
