A good counter I like to use for this logic is that yes, okay, you removed one of the words you can use to describe what an awful, terrible person you are by redefining it. Now you're not a "racist." But you're still an awful, terrible person, all you did was make it so people can't use one of the many words available to describe what a scumbag you are. Even if it's not "racist," it's an awful thing to say about anybody and such hateful behavior is still career suicide as a public figure. Move away from asking yourself, "is this racist?" Focus on the bigger question, "is this dehumanizing and malicious?" You'll find the answer is unequivocally "yes."

Can confirm. People that talk so highly of Asians or Asia often have either only met those who are in the United States (and aren't representative of the 90% of Asians that happen to be in Asia) or have visited one metropolitan area in Asia (Tokyo, etc) and think "oh, what a wonderful place Asia is." Not to get to politically correct.

On the other hand those who have visited rural areas or even secondary cities see that people are (and sometimes do) shit almost everywhere in the world. Hell, be on a plane with Chinese guys in coach and that whole mystique of Asia thing goes away pretty fast. Then there's India...

I'd recommend something GOT related to spike its popularity, which would by fortune piss them off. Probably a risky one though. Props for the commitment by the way. Thread was fun before but the analytics have exposed the sheer exceptionalism and put it on full display.
