That's the same thing really. Isn't the official resetera stance that if you don't give a shit about CNN's nazi allegories and "KIDS IN CAGES!" then you're a nazi yourself? (Coming to think of it, how are historians going to explain half the american people suddenly marching and wearing brown shirts after electing a black president the term before?)

I think it would be hilarious if it turned out that Resetera was actually 90% Kiwi sockpuppet accounts, and everybody just sort of realized that the core audience had been completely purged by the trolls constantly pushing the bar of "tolerance" to their logical extremes. It would make for a pretty funny "well shit" moment.

There's fewer and fewer normal people left, but the ones that stick around usually do so out of a combination of habit, stubbornness, and the frog in the pot syndrome as the level of crazy incrementally rises around them, and it takes a really incendiary event to properly drive them off. I'd say they also try and stay in the few bits of the site they find less infected, may have a number of the most asinine posters blocked, and take heart in the other relatively normal voices they see popping up.

Or they could be complete wimps to an authoritarian mod group, vaguely feeling like things are going wrong but that every ban is deserved and they're just not seeing the bigger picture. Not sure that type of user counts as 'relatively normal', though.
