Companies know the actual metrics of their fans, especially in video games/tech where everything sends back data. That's why the only time you ever see any of these companies actually do something it's because of a true believer or more within the company in a position that matters.I really want the companies to start realising this, because this outrage is literally about 20 people on REEEEEEsetEra and another dozen on Twitter. Fewer than 50 sales are in potential jeopardy for this, and even then we know that of those people, either they were going to pirate it anyway or will ebeg for the cash to buy it under the cover of troon life support.
That's why CDPR (and many Japanese companies it should also be noted) anger them so much. They apparently don't have anybody like that so they go "nah" easily. In this case they actually didn't (although it had nothing to do with any kind of outrage), and it was announced months ago there would be all kinds of options because one major part of the whole game/world is how you can change yourself with basic technology. The non-binary stuff was known months ago, just from that you could know about this, since nobody would make a "non-binary character creator" that didn't have trans options because it wouldn't make any sense on a basic level.
Even in this E3 outrage period, CDPR has actual trans people in the company, tens of them working on the game, GOG and so on, and this has been confirmed multiple times. Yet ResetEra/Ana Valens continues to repeat that "clearly no trans people saw this" or whatever simply because it exists. Probably because if these CDPR trans employees said something their concerns were actually heard by their coworkers before anybody outside the company saw it. Worst of all these views obviously don't align with the American/British troons on ResetEra/Twitter who just want to be butthurt about something to draw attention to themselves. Era is even pulling the "the trans community is against this" card when trans people on their own forum see no problem, trans people on Twitter and other video game forums don't care about it, etc. and it only seems to be a circle that has a high probability of being people who follow Ana Valens. The other trans people apparently aren't self-obsessed enough to the point of reading anything remotely trans as a clear deliberate attack against themselves personally because they are so important and matter so much and thus they must RAGE AGAINST IT FOREVER until the next thing comes along to piss them off. Even they show their hand about how they don't actually care about any of the people involved, it's just their own form of metrics.
It's not even probably really a trans thing except how prone so many Twitter-centric troons are to it. It's a whole self-centered, the world revolves around me always, thing. Might be something on the Y chromosome maybe I dunno. (Look! An attack on men you probably can't post on ResetEra!)
