Apologies if I'm repeating myself, since the topic came up somewhere recently.

Bayonetta has created a short circuit of sorts. Bayonetta is sexy, popular, and is either a perfect example of what the far left like (sex positive feminism) or an example of "the problem with the games industry" (sex negative feminism). So SJWs (ResetEra included) keep flip flopping on if she's female empowerment or male gaze sex object depending on what's convenient.

Right now, liking Bayonetta is convenient. She kept her clothes on in the most recent trailer, but I'm told that's standard practice when she appears in family friendly places like Smash Bros or Nintendo Direct (any Nintendo fans want to confirm that?).

If Bayonetta 3 is censored, that will be a win for the left. If the game is not censored, it's so popular that it would be a loss for them to oppose it, so they'll let it slide just like they did with Resident Evil 7.
