NeoGAF & ResetERA - The Hilarious N̶e̶v̶e̶r̶e̶n̶d̶i̶n̶g̶ Splintering "Gaming" Forum Circus

Reminder:

Almost a spitting image of that ancient MW2 boycott group meme.

Hilariously, the one in charge of it, Cerium, hasn't played "online" in 3 years because he doesn't want to deal with the trannies before the check cleared.

Cerium was secretly based the whole time??

>Cerium sold the farm
>MOBA network bought the farm
>the cows are raging because their data is now in the hands of some obscure Swedish marketing firm
>the farm is gradually diminishing in cows
>the jannies still fucking do it for free and got literally none of that 4.5 million dollars
>the jannies will still continue to do it for free because Resetera is all they have in life

Cerium won. I hope MOBA Network floods them with the most "offensive" ads possible to further piss these idiots off.

"In fact, the EXACT OPPOSITE mentality is hammered into students heads from beginning of virtually every professional comedy program - you don't punch down"

Are they actually admitting that they believe that a white man in a dress is more oppressed then a black man in America? That's not very PC at all.

Imagine being the deranged chink Isamu Fukui, a seething homophobe, and actually finding someone who has both $4.5 million and substantial fucking brain damage to the point of paying that much for the most worthless shithole troon-infested game-hating community on the tardwebs.

It's literally a mandatory belief now that a white man who puts on a dress is the most oppressed human alive. Welcome to Clown World.
Incorrect.

Even white men in dresses need to beg forgiveness from the black men in dresses, and even then IT'S STILL NOT GOOD ENOUGH.

The peasants are tried revolting:

Dear god this is pure gold.

lmao how the fuck was the site even worth that much? what?
Regardless of the shit content of the site, it has a persistent, returning userbase that either clicks the ads or pays $3.99 a month/$39.99 a year to view the site without ads. These two things generate $700K a year. Cerium no longer wants to deal with the site, and some swedish gamblers think it's worth buying now because it will have paid for itself in 7 years and then be free money annually.

So what exactly do they mean by community made? Did they actually do something tangible like help with the backend of the site, or do these niggers seriously think getting people to come to the site somehow means they built it?
A lot of them are delusional socialists or full blown communists who think they are owed a living by the government for merely existing. Does that answer your question?

Imagine how low an IQ you have to have to pay money to be a retard on RetardEra.

MOBA owns a lot of sites associated with Blizzard products. I posted an image in here from a few weeks back where there was a giant Diablo II Remaster banner put up on ERA right in the middle of their shitflinging over the sexual abuse at Blizzard stuff.

Between that Haseeb guy exploiting his socialist audience to buy a mansion in LA (lol) and now this, this has the lightbulbs turning in my head.

This basically proves without a doubt you can abuse and exploit these morons and they'll either bury their head in the sand and ignore it or whine and put up with it. These people just echo the principles of stronger voices in the room because they're weak and want to fit in, which is critical to the grift because when the people running the grift are inevitably caught - these same people are too weak in character AND in principles to really speak up and do anything about it because they're attracted to ideologies that are analogous with being weak and victimized. Not even analogous, they place a PREMIUM on being a victim and helpless. These people make the perfect marks. Why the fuck am I just realizing this now?

It's like the perfect fucking cashgrab and its unironically giving me some ideas, I bet I could make a fucking killing off of these guys too. As long as you're OK with having to stomach being an "ally" or whatever and talking like a socialist faggot, that is.

But for the amount of money these guys are making off of their dumb audience... shit, you can call me a socialist faggot for a few million.

So when Null inevitably sells the site to chase his dream of farming banana peppers, do we get a cut proportional to how many lolcow OP's we've written?

I'm having the same thought, but I'd inevitably fuck it up by drunkposting the "You have no ovaries" pasta in a banner.

Then again that shitstorm would be worth millions itself.

IRRC Evillore at his height was pulling almost a 7 figures on Neogaf. Not surprised that the forum was pulling in cash. Neogaf big moments was being an online talk hub during major gaming events particularly for people at work where they couldn't install ad-block on their machines. I wouldn't be shocked if e3 made a huge chuck of the yearly Neogaf's yearly earning back in the day.

Resetera was always going to success because they had imported a large group of people that see forum-talk as a main way to react to live events. Mix in poor mental health and you have perfect combo.

This is kinda what Twitter wants to do where they have ads in the replies to tweets. Every topic no matter the value instantly monetized.

Edit: But I truly wonder how many Day1 people are on the site right now. Maybe they right now because of the annoucement. But that site was so heavily moderated that it I could see why it would drive people away.
