That said, you can absolutely have posts scrubbed if you really want to go through the hassle of doing it and the paperwork and legal stuff that goes along with it. Copyright law is pretty clear on that. Not that many people have reason to do so or bother to do so, or want that hassle

Would be interesting to see if it happens but I really doubt it at this point. Like I said this grift works so well because these people are devoid of principles and seek comfort amongst the herd. They're not independent thinkers and are fundamentally weak in heart and weak in character. I think Neogaf's catalytic moment was spurred mostly through him violating a basic tenant of this culture (sexual assault, which fortunately happens to be frowned upon even in this backwards authoritarian woke sub-culture), so there was this rage to rally behind (and more importantly there was a certain businessman at the ready to lead the troons and make millions off of this). People rode that momentum and started Era.

I think it will be fundamentally different than GAF. In this case Cerium didn't really do anything as black and white "bad" like try and rape a girl or something (I forget what it was he did specifically, something about a shower). Will be interesting (and more importantly informative) to see how it plays out. My hunch is that the obedient cattle will stay on Era and continue to be farmed as paypigs by this new corporation.
