Not the source. The issue here is that this sale "unveiled the matrix" even if for a few seconds. A good idiom in life is to remember always that if something is offered for free, you are the product. And successful services succeed in hiding that truth behind all kind of bells and whistles to "keep the product happy". But here, suddenly, not only they got exposed in one simple act of sale as the cattle for bargain, they got to see the price tag. They got to see one man just selling them like m,eat in the market and not looking back. They finally saw that in the grand scale of things, all their worth is money to this one rich grifter and now they are the same for some foreign corporate which dosent give a single shit about their ideas. All their "ideaology", their "actiivism" (LOL), their insane raging battles and drama that causes jannies to be hospitalized all have one single price tag and that price tag does not go to any of their causes but to the rich people and capitalists running everything there. Economy 101 class.

3. So why talk about the mods at all? - Because the system is the system. They cant really fix it. Its futile. Like those morons all those years ago trying to ban Facebook using Facebook group to coordinate. They claim being lied to, but no one explicitly lied to them. It was very convinient to believe that Resetera bneeds the money, The same way they believe that Activision and co need their money from the Microtransactions. No one needs them, they are extras. They are nothing at all. Just pocket change. So in order to have any talking point about anything that they might have any influence on, they speak about the mods. The closest thing they have in the community to the people that actually earn the money. But they (and some of them even stated as much) dont care about the specific mods being mistreated, they just want their "values and ideas" to get some worth. Some recognition. People who workj hard to enforce the Reardera ideaology on the users should have some of the money earned because what they do is important! The mods getting nothing is a proof that the ideaology and ideas and everything that creates their own dramas dont mean squat. The only worth they have is in their clicking on ads and spending money. Their content could be air for all MOBA and Isamu care.

4. And the mods? They are just afraid that if these screeches get up and run, they will be hel accountable and replaced by paid company moderators. So they have to shill for their seller and their buyers. Nepenthe was al;so somehow smart enough to grift some money in the process. I want to punch this Janny in the face every time I read messages about it, but in the end, good for him/her/it/xit. Get that money from those stupid enough to pay. Pay it for charity ("I am poor so spending it on me is charity!") or whatever. Its either goes to you or that Neon Captain America costume in the Marvel Avengers game. Pathetic either way.

This is the most autistic I have ever been on this site. So please forgive me for the rambling. Sometimes old men like me just need to rammble freely.

Because I'm not into identity Politics and can take criticism and have the ability or privilege to ignore people who are kinda shitty? Like people downvoting me doesn't hurt my feelings and people mocking me makes me feel good about myself because I don't respect randos.

But more than that I don't believe in people being irredeemable, mostly anyway. I don't think Kiwifarms is full of horrible sociopaths. I think there are a few, but the majority are just regular people hurting like everyone else, y'know? Plus I don't think I could be a socialist if I didn't believe that people could be better than they are now. I'm an optimist, and even if you don't like me or I don't like you, I believe in your ability to be better.

The thread is calming down and there isn't that much lol-worthy anymore.
Some of the people there though can not let go, and as self-appointed legal experts they just go on and on about what and how they think GDPR works.

Not to focus on this person specifically, just letting him represent a larger group that thinks this is a massive GDPR violation.
Some of the admins have tried to explain mostly correct what GPDR is and what it is not but these guys just can not let go.

Why is it so hard for them to understand that MOBA bought ERA for the potantial ad revenue from showing a lot more ads on the website.
They didn't buy ERA so they could get the email addresses of a handful of tards so they could sell them to scammers in Russia.
There are much fucking easier and significantly cheaper ways to get hold of ~50.000 email addresses, hell you can buy email addresses in bulks of million for a handful of dollars.

That is an interesting idea. Under that logic it would basically mean that companies that sell directly to customers can never be sold, aquired or merged.

2, when will staff have had enough trying to explain and solve the issue as they always solve issues, with a ban?

Posted 5 mins after the OP. The video itself is over 40 minutes, so he didn’t even watch the content he’s whining about. He opened the vid and started skimming for potentially problematic people and coloreds. It’s like they have a constant internal checklist or a headcount for anything they see, scanning for the number of blax, yellows, reds, cockless people, queers, transvestites…. “I can’t like this because it doesn’t fulfill my mental quota of gay disabled BIPOC wymxn of colors.” Can you imagine living like this? Maybe I did not come across as clearly as I intended. I reacted to the word "distraction" because to me calling it a distraction trivializes it and downplays the enormous damage it does to real left politics.

To me it is not a distraction but something that has drowned out and threathens to destroy actiual left policies.
