That site was shit from it's inception. If GAF was a flaming dog turd, Era copied that and stuck a fireproof new pride flag in it for aesthetic purposes.

Props to Cerium for cashing out when the time was right, even if he's just as bad as his former userbase but in a different way.

It will never not be fun watching these autistic spastics flail around tho, bc they have no collective set of real standards. Getting bought by MOBA is unrelentingly hilarious, because those scumfucks are basically just an advertising network fleecing gullible gaymers. I have no doubt that they'll just cram the site with more ads and sit around laughing at all the dumb shit that goes on. I know I would in that position.

They basically banned that guy for asking for more info about the subject. He wasn't really "dismissing sexual assault" he just asked Neoxon to back up the claim, which he "did" by linking a thread about it and the guy dropped the subject.

An Era user claiming to be the owner of SomethingAwful (Jeffrey Of Yospos) was just banned for suggesting Era users should create their own site. Can someone with an account please cap his posts? There's only 18 posts but I don't have an account.
In 2020, the owner of a Something Awful proved to be of....dubious moral character. (long story) The site was uninhabitable while he was in charge. Instead of folding and let this happen, I struck back. The community made it very clear that he was unwelcome, and used our leverage to force him to sell at a low price, preserving twenty years of internet history and our community. I am the user who stepped up and made sure that ended without a corporate acquisition or opportunistic cash-grab. I put every dollar the site makes back into it, and I see. So I hope you all can imagine why, as the owner of Something Awful, I am interested in seeing web forums as a medium succeed. I honestly came here to observe one of the few old-style forums that is as large as ours, and I found myself upset reading this thread.

I'm wondering about his other posts. AFAIK this account is new information to the SA thread and nobody really knows who Jeff is, he hasn't been doxed. I'd imagine he had enough sense to make sure his post history is clean before admitting to owning SA, but you never know.

I tried to "site:" search google using his user id (user_id=26555) but it didn't work.
