In another thread Kyuuji was literally arguing that Rowling is responsible for anything bad that happens to any trans person in the world because one (1) lawmaker quoted something she wrote so if a trans person is shot in the street you can trace that back to a tweet of Rowling's. This led to some troons making up a completely false unsupported claim that Rowling is the biggest funder of anti-trans movements and a bunch of them have repeated this into other threads. And people just accept it, probably because you'd get banned if you pointed out they were lying to attack a woman they've decided to hate for ever so mildly crossing their cult.

It feels like not too long ago that J.K Roowling was being praised for her "orange man bad" tweets and now she's legit on SJW's target list.

That's how it goes over there in SJW land. You need to keep up or else you get swept away in the tide. There's always going to be something "more progressive" to tweet and make a hashtag for. I'll never forget when she said Hermione was black to please the SJW crowd. By flip-flopping on everything for clout she showed she was weak and chummed the water for the sharks that are attacking her now.

She did chum the waters but it sounds to me more like she was being agreeable, as women are told to be. When it came to something actually important to her, though, she told them to fuck off. Like it or not, troons are part of why we need feminism.

I can understand her just going "yeah, sure, Hermione can be black" to appease the Tweeters so she can get back to her job because it's not like that changes anything about the books really. I know people get riled up about racebending because it's usually done specifically to bait an angry reaction from the fans, but in a vacuum completely divorced from social context making a character a different race isn't really a big deal (unless it's someone like Black Panther where their race is actually a crucial part of their character). Much like JK, I care a lot more about real world issues that actually effect peoples' lives than about whether some fanfic writers want to pretend a certain character is black.
