i think that thread has found why so many of the people on resetera are hated. filthy, smelly, cheap and unkempt degenerates that think they are owed more than what they get for reasons.
the only reason anyone would do something like this that i can think of is to try and save on money. (un)fortunately for them, they are or at least act social so everyone they run into sees a disgusting piece of shit and avoid them.
Yet more confirmation that literally every single person on RetardEra is a disgusting, filthy bum you'd vomit just at the smell of.
even taking wear and tear into account, washing on correct settings helps to mitigate some of that. Also, yea like you said, there are tons of places with cheap good looking clothes.
imagine smelling someone coming well before you can see them
What strikes me as odd is that everytime there is a topic about "Do you wear your shoes inside your house?", at least 3/4 of the people responding absolutely lose their fucking minds at the idea that someone might leave their shoes on in their home or someone else's home. So you might think that it is a community of clean-freaks and neat-freaks. But nope, apparently it's a horrible sin to have dirt on your floors, but wearing clothes with 5 fucking days' worth of dirt on them is completely normal and acceptable. All that built-up scum and grime is fine if it's on your khakis touching your skin all day long, but don't ever let it hit the ground of your abode. Yes, if you have carpet then maybe take your shoes off, but if your place has hardwood or tile then I don't see the big deal. Sweep/mop every now and again, or buy a Roomba if you're lazy.
Something that hasn't been touched on here or in the ResetERA thread is that if you have 5-10 pairs of pants in rotation, there's absolutely no fucking way you're keeping track of how many times you've worn each pair. So they're likely tossing all those used pants into a "wear again" pile and probably not even remembering of how many times they were worn. They just pick up a pair and give it the sniff test, and wear that shit if it isn't already stank. Which is pretty disgusting.
not gonna lie, I wear my jeans 2 or 3 times before I let my wife wash them, since i only ever wear jeans when we go out for a date or something. oddly, i dont do that with any other pants or shorts though.
Much like suits and wool slacks, jeans are kind of a different issue. I don't wear them often enough to really know or care about the rules, but the general consensus seems to be that they can go a while without a wash and perhaps be better for it. When I see this thread, I mostly think about all the dofuses wearing cargo pants and ill-fitting khakis for their IT jobs. Denim-heads swear by the "don't wash them if you can help it" ethos, but if I loved jeans I would probably just go ahead and buy 5-10 pairs so I could have a regular rotation where none of them get washed more than one a month.
A multimillionaire with a net worth of $350 Million dollars slapped another multimillionaire with a net worth of about 60 million dollars. Crazy to think that is somehow a "sensitive topic". This isn't about racism, abortion, sexism, white supremacy, mass murder, genocide, tragedy, prejudice, or anything else that could even remotely be considered a "sensitive topic". It's equally hilarious to think that the man with nearly 6X more money than his victim is somehow the one that needs special mod protection. Through the anti-capitalist lens of ResetERA, Smith should absolutely be the villain.
They ought to drop the "sensitive topic" bullshit and just outright say the problem is "sensitive moderators".
